Do NOT buy them from steam , it's cheaper on gamesplanet (3.45 euros each! )

I'm confused.
Isn't Uplay supposed to pay you, to convince you to use it?
I assumed that's how it worked..

I used the key on steam (bought on their website)
If I had to use their client... meh... better pay 3.5€ :V

Oh, I missed the (steam key), sorry :)
I don't really know about the client, it's the DRM-breaking-Ubisoft-games thing that has affected me so far.
Never cool when the only way to play a game you own is to torrent a 'fixed' copy of it :X

There are no problems with activating/playing? I'm looking at Dying Light now and... well it's 2x difference for my region.

Hm, right. Apparently Bethesda gave them ROW keys.
And CIS keys for New Vegas.

But means they can't be activate in many East European countries.. (FNV UE)

Believe me, it can be activated. New Vegas doesn't have an actual region lock. Trust me on this, I have troubleshooted three such cases in the last two days, when people had both the ROW and the "Russian" one in their library at the same time. But GamesPlanet cannot tell them that.

No it's ROW key for New Vegas. There's a warning that the game can't be activated in CIS countries.

They can. Trust me, they can. Both CIS and ROW New Vegas keys work in any country except India.

When I got F3 just after realease the game crashed like every 30 sec. But after few patches and driver updates it worked fine. In your case probably the GPU driver is at fault, not the game.

Can anyone clear this up for me 'cause I'm a dummy - is the New Vegas base game (ie not the ultimate edition) the censored version or no?

Edit: Nevermind - according to a rep on Reddit, they're all uncut

Hello all, I want to ask a few things if I may.
Firstly, the price (without reduction) of Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition in steam is different. So is certainly that this is the same version - Ultimate Edition?
My other question is whether it will be fine to start with New Vegas, I've only played Fallout and Fallout 2?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I've only played a bit of fallout 3 before, didn't like it as much as new vegas dunno why... anyway yes the story is different , even if you played no fallout games before you can buy and play it 100%. I bought it on gamesplanet and i got the game + all the dlcs... so yes, same content, different price. :) screenshot : http://s24.postimg.org/5lmjlc4xx/Untitled.png

Should I get fallout 3 or fallout new vegas first? I won't be playing BOTH anytime soon so which one is better?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

New Vegas is much better. You actually get to control the story and there's tons more optional/fun stuff to do.

I will say though, if you play New Vegas first then Fallout 3 might feel disappointing in comparison. Also it may or may not run well on your system since using it on anything newer than Vista may require some tweaking.

I am enjoying new vegas a lot more than fallout 3... and new vegas works better for new windows OS while fallout3 gives problems for windows 7 or later OS.

You also get additional 5% off of every title on Gamesplanet, if you're member of the steam group "ForUncut!".
The member count goes up and down because of this. Please only join that group if you're actually for it's cause. :(

I'd be on the lookout for this and the next weekends until christmas for "Advent Sales" on Gamesplanet.
Though, you seem to save pretty much the same as on Steam right now during the autumn sale...so, meh.
