They've given away thousands of "free" or 100% discounted copies of this just recently... Not a uncommon tactic, especially if giving away an older game with the purpose of "buy our sequel!" or "buy this brand new game if you enjoy this one!"
Only real reason for a positive review is that more games tend to be brought with Positive or Mostly Positive, but could argue this being borderline a tactic Steam tried to stop with Greenlit games... Promising keys for upvotes. Though already pass that stage.
No doubt some tactic behind it, probably along the lines of positive upvotes, more sales, more money to update. IF they follow through with said updates, so the upvote serves its purpose beyond just getting them a couple free pizza's.

That is becoming quite a tendency, and I can see why. Devs want a bigger "player count" on their page so the game looks better than it actually is, and some people don't mind leaving good reviews for games they didn't even play just because they got it for free. Then, the real customer sees 45k people "playing" this game (or most of the time idling them for cards), a handful of good reviews and buys it, not knowing that 44.9k of them got it for free and used IdleMaster on it.

They cracked down on free keys for votes so now they are finding new means to try peddle there games...
Also if people would stop grabbing these for the damn cards,you mention free and your able to make 20 cents people are on it like flies on shit.They put cards in crap games then add them to crap bundles because they know people will buy them for cards.Then they sell them or what not so they still make money on top of what they get for the bundle more then they most likely ever would on steam.

Pretty much i mean i do badges and stuff,but i do not add crap games for the sole purpose of cards,i do badges of games i actually like..
So i am not saying badges are terrible i am just saying the whole card market and badges has made them turn to adding cards to shit games while good games that would be nice to have cards for are passed by lol.I wish the fallout games had cards i would love to see some of the emotes and backgrounds for those .ol

Hmm, interesting tactic. I just had a wonderful idea. I'll give you Postal 3 if you give it a good review mwa ha ha ha, now it will get more negative reviews, my evil scheme is working... wait is this still on... crap.. I mean, I really want positive reviews for Postal 3 I totally don't want negative reviews. Yes yes that covered that slip up nicely... crap this is still on .. .PS don't add me for keys I won't give you keys to P3... I wouldn't subject that game on anyone.... except those I already subjected it on... I still feel terrible for that....

This is not the time or the place for me to get in to that! But if you insist: If you install it on newer machines, the DRM sometimes thinks it is being pirated (Ex. I played it on Windows 7, "upgraded" to 8.1 and it refused to activate because it wasn't legitimate (Downloaded direct from Steam). It has a three install activation limit that can't really be revoked/renewed. It also likes to crash a whole ton as it is still in the early beta phase. RWS didn't make it and doesn't have the code from it to fix it. Generally RWS just says to pretend it doesn't exist.

Basically, RWS worked on the movie, Akella had a bigger team that worked on the game, tried to release both at the same time. Akella fell apart, new team took it over, rushed it out the door. RWS still owns the rights to the Postal series game, just doesn't have the source code for P3. I wasn't with them when that happened, that is all I know.

He didn't "downgrade" the game, he just pointed out how you try to bribe him. And to be frank, I don't think there is a way to for an update to make the game enjoyable.

For me, it's a place where you go into detail wether a game is worth buying or not. And the game having a developer I don't like is a really big argument against that for me. I get your point, and that's probably how reviews were originally intended to work, but if there are additional points towards my decision of buying the game, I think they could still put there.
Plus, if he had actually played reviewed the game, it would most likely not be any more positive than it is right now.

I actually didn't, but I looked at some videos about the game, and decided that the game is just another one of these quickly made games with no depth in gameplay whatsoever, because the dev knows perfectly well that people are only gonna play it for trading cards.

i dont see they want to bribe with you from your describe, if you buy game and give down vote before and then they contact you to give you game key for up vote so this is call "Bribe" but not for this mate...

Please I would ask you to at least remove the images or the comment, you're really hurting the whole game with that review and our next releases too. there are so many developers, bringing trash to steam, giving some keys away to get positive reviews and hoping, some idiots will buy the stuff cause of false reviews... i call it scam. let the people rate your game as they love or hate it and not as how much you pay / beg for positive reviews.
