To be clear, this is just something that popped up as a thought, not something that happened to me so don't go looking to point fingers at anyone.

If the winner of your giveaway is a regifter who hasn't been suspended yet, can you request a reroll?

Regifters usually have their regift-giveaway deleted (from what I've seen but please correct me if I'm wrong) if they've already been reprimanded for it so you could use that as an indicator for whether they've served their time or not. Reporting the user is obvious but what do you do for your giveaway? The person hasn't broken any rules regarding your own giveaway so in that sense it seems wrong to not give it to the person; but on the other hand if they've done the crime then shouldn't they do the time before being allowed to benefit further from the community?

Which leads to the question, what if your winner is suspended? Do you wait for their suspension to be over or do you ask for reroll?

Sorry if this has been asked in the past but I did search and go through almost all 22 threads that pop up under "reroll".

Yes. As for the 'if they're suspended' part, I'm not sure.

I had one case and support approved it.

Yes, ask for it.

I'm going to take a guess here and say that if the winner is still suspended after the 7th day then you're well within your right to request a re-roll but before that you're going to have to ask support to make a ruling.

Yes. If the user has a violation that hasn't been caught, we will suspend them and re-roll.

The system won't select a suspended user as a winner. If your winner shows as suspended, they were suspended right after they won your giveaway. We will re-roll that as well.

You generally can't tell if someone has been punished for something in the past. But I'd make a point of reporting them first and letting support decide. If he's "done his time" and looks to be sincerely reformed then I'd give the game anyway (and in fact, I have done just such a thing).
