WTF, steam lets me remove gifted games manually!?

it's seems to me it's only at games which were activated from 2/3/4-packs, at least that's on my account (Space Engineers, Rise of Nations, Payday 2 Christmas soundtrack, Hack'n"Slash.. All from X-packs)

Yup: Can confirm that you can remove the gifted gifts. Which were gifted to you, and I can remove Dying Light too from my acc. I'd never do that, though :D

Valve is doing some controversial things lately...

that is crazy and nonsense, if I eventually remove one copy, does it disasppear completely? like a Space Engineers 4-pack? That's silly.

just tried it, removed game from my library but it reappeared after Steam restart >.>

Tried it too with a game I got and never played, it dissapeared from my library completely 10/10 would eliminate again.

1. Buy Defy Gravity
2. Farm cards and then remove the game
3. ????
4. Profit, rinse and repeat

Darn, I was so happy when I saw this thread but sadly only a small portion of my steam library has "Remove" button :(

Maybe it's a bug? I see no pattern. I can mostly remove the f2p stuff but there is also somethin glike Postal 2 and Space Engineers which can be removed

Be nice if they'd add this for all games, oh how I'd love to obliterate all the bundled scum from my collection. :D

Finally, I don't need to contact Steam Support and wait 3 month to remove some cheap ass junk I had to actviate for some rea----

This feature was often requested on Steam forums. Some users want to unclog their Library this way... not that I agree with that or will use it ever, but each to his own.

I wish I could do the same with "The Crew (BETA)" from my Uplay account. It shows as "Expired" but it was never removed after the Beta ended, and I never installed it either. I even asked to their Customer Support so it could be removed or revoked, but I was totally ignored... (—_—)

Yes the most games are from 2-4 gift copies. Steam need to add this option to all games so to get rid of some junk.
My payday 2 copy is not removable, was activated from 4pack gift.

Urgh, man, that's not a bug, it's a feature! I'm not even kidding, removing games has its uses. I don't know why you'd want to remove the ability to remove games. We're not morons, we're not going to "accidentally" remove all our games. Besides, this only applied to games activated from 4 packs, so one could've theoretically used it to buy a 4 pack, remove the activated copy and then buy another 4 pack. If anything you're encouraging Valve to be as restrictive as they've been recently.
