Hi there, I have read through some other discussions about the sync errors and about trying to refresh or force sync a couple of times for sync to work.
However, the problem I am facing currently is that everything is synced including the groups I joined on Steam, except the own group which I created (Which is public). No matter how many times I tried syncing, it is not reflected on SteamGifts, which make giveaway for the group only impossible at the moment.

Anyone know any solution to this? Thank you!

I wasn't able to get your group to show up on Steamgifts, either. Does that mean groups need to be added manually by staff (similar to how games are added)? That sucks.

Did you write in to Support? It could be this issue: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/S6KoSqV

It seems to take a while for groups to show up on SG- but seeing as your group is a couple of days old already, that's probably not the issue, in this case. A better guess'd be that it's related to the general group syncing errors, as myself and several others have commented in recent weeks about specific groups no longer showing up in giveaway creation or among our groups.

If it's similar to the issue referenced by Janediel above, it's definitely worthwhile to poke staff about the matter, as there's likely nothing to do but wait and see if cg can address things, in that kind of circumstance.

Also, just a heads up, leaving your group's forums public to non-members is a good way to preview the group to non-members, but it's also a great way to get additional bots trolling the group for keydrops. Since you have a "Freebies" thread, I thought I'd mention it. ^.^

Thanks! Got to be patient I guess.

Have made the forums viewable for everyone, just the ability to type in them for members-only. Is there something I have to change? I'm new when it comes to the creation of groups, so suggestions will be gladly appreciated =)

I'm just saying that Steam groups are heavily trolled by bots [as my own groups have taught me], so if you were planning on doing keydrops within the thread, then you'd want to have the read permissions of the containing forum set to group members only (otherwise the bots will eat up the keys as soon as you post them).
As alternative options, you could consider doing keydrops within the group's steam chat or within group giveaways [and simply using the thread to announce the planned drop]. You can also obsfucate the keys by replacing certain of the characters with symbols, which often is enough to block out bots (but would still leave the keydrops open to non-members).

If I misunderstood your intention of doing keydrops, then it's not a concern that'd be especially relevant to you. ^.^

I understand now. Have changed it to members only for that! Thanks!

Your group is the oldest one I've seen created (April 1) in the recruit threads that I can confirm has a sync issue.
The next soonest created Steam Group I can find on SG is iTA360 created March 17.
So my guess is that either group sync stopped working on a date between March 18 and April 1, or it takes 1 to 1.5 months for Steam groups to sync. There is the slight possibility that there is some unknown criteria for a group to show in SG, but I doubt it since I think someone would have mentioned it by now in this or other threads about the issue.
This kills me because I created a group on April 17 and have many games ready to give it but cant :/
I too have filed a support ticket, awaiting a response.

It is either fixed or SG's group queuing caught up to our newer groups!
Your group, mine, and a few other groups I'm in that were created after April 1st now actually appear in SG :D

Thanks! I just saw the group on the list!
Glad it works finally.

Thanks for the post, this was resolved yesterday. The issue was caused by the file system on one of our servers not correctly releasing the lock held on a script for updating group information.

Same thing has happened to me as well. It's been over 3 weeks but still can't see my groups on SG no matter how many times I synced.

I made a ticket to admin, and they just told me to wait. Nothing happened since then. Seems new groups that were created recently all got this problem. It sucks.
