No this is a recent implementation that I do if I have time. A lot of people have asked for the value of the bundle and I assume many people here want 'more bang for the buck'. So if it's helpful and useful, I will do the calculations :)

It was in the Indie Royale Alpha bundle, and an IGS deal. Maybe you got it from one of those?

Super Trench Attack 2 was "bundled" exactly a month ago on IndieGameStand:

I am aware of this, but it has not been included in a formal bundle, so I think it's appropriate to say that it is "unbundled." but thank you for the heads up.

Because it was offered at the price of $1, it technically didn't hit 95% off. If you hit the BTA, you could hav gotten STA1, but that still wouldn't really make it part of a bundle

Oh, I see :) I guess you're totally correct, then.

Bought for Life is Hard and Gunpowder. Ended up keeping Krai Mira, too. Looks interesting.

I already have the two games I'm most interested in, and yet the rest of the bundle still is amazingly worth it! IndieGala really does make Mondays much easier to take (and of course, Monday Corgi is good at sucking away suckiness too!)

The only problem i have is that Krai Mira shouldn't be in a bundle yet...
but i guess the devs need money. oh well ;)

Bump for Life is Hard Steam (unused) keys were revoked for this bundle (and OtakuMaker Bundle #4).

It should be clarified that unused keys were invalidated, rather than activated keys being revoked.

This is one reason why the only keys I consider safe to keep are from Humble, as the invalidation of keys from other sites can happen at any time.

Just out of curiosity why is Humble different in terms of unused keys?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Nothing at all.

The dev should still have a record of which keys they sent to humble so could still easily invalidate that batch.

The invalidation has already happened. It's done. This was an IndieGala issue.

I'm simply pointing out that no dev ever pulls this kind of after the fact crap with Humble.

I'm aware it's already happened and that it wasn't a Humble issue. I was just pointing out that there is no real difference and the same could happen with Humble keys.

I do actually agree with your other response. Whilst most bundle sites would go back to problem devs for future bundles as though nothiung ever happened I doubt Humble would allow for a repeat.

Just for historical reasons, I've never seen any of the controversies with Humble regarding allusions to broken contracts or broken promises or miscommunication or whatnot. Maybe it's the kind of developers and publishers that Humble deals with that don't try to pull this kind of crap because they want to remain in Humble's good graces, or maybe the contracts and agreements that Humble works out are more clear and unambiguous, or maybe developers and publishers trust Humble in such a way that they don't try to impose draconian requirements on them or something, but the kinds of accusations being lobbed in this case I never see come up with Humble.

Dropsy, less-good edition keys delivered

IIRC, you could contact support (good luck with that) and ask for the Warm Damp Hug Edition if you received the standard edition.

Yeah, but those were situations that were dealt with while the bundle was still active, and not some unspecified time down the line. Also, those were both admitted developer screwups, and not the developer accusing Humble of screwing up. Lastly, people who contacted Humble about Dropsy were given the Warm Damp Hug edition. I did that myself and got the upgraded key.

Eh. What about the Groupees bundle? Or is that the one bundle they say is valid in issuing keys?

Permalink

I have no idea, to be honest... I haven't tried a key from that bundle. It's hard to understand what the developer is trying to say, too.

Devs Priorities:

  1. Revoke Keys from people that actually bough an Early Acess game, and supported them, so they'll have an incentive to finish up the game
  2. Don't finish the game, leave it Early Acess after more than a year
  3. ???
  4. Profitz ?

Also, OtakuMaker Weekly Game Deal #5, Life is Hard unused keys are probably dead now too. :/

Well, I guess it's easier to say that keys were obtained illegally than just create another game because this game isn't selling anymore. 🤔
