A build-your-own indie sale presented by Frozenbyte (the same company that brought us the Autumn Seal and Summer Seal slot machines).

Support indie developers and get the games you want at a discount.

  • Sign in through Steam. You'll be able to pick your first 5 coupons immediately after signing in with steam - Just click 'Sign in through Steam' at the top of the page.

  • For every purchase you make, you can pick a new coupon. *

Care about buy 3 games get one free. They said you must add it to your library. I'm not sure it will count it if you add it to your inventory. (by exemple if you buy 3 Time Gentlemen, Please! and Ben There, Dan That! Special Edition Double Pack.

Do they usually say that?

Coupons that don't explicitly say can't be applied with other discounts generally stack with sales. But these coupons expire on the 25th and it's unlikely that any of the games featured here will be a daily/midweek/weekend deal.

So far the Rochard coupon states it can't be stacked with other discounts; Rush, Giana Sisters, Legend of Grimrock, and Cubetractor do not. Not sure about any of the others

When they are NOT stackable, yes.
But anyway, these coupons expire in 7 days, and the Steam sales will begin in more than 7 days, so...

Edit: Damn, too late.

Those -80% do stack, but will there be steam-sale before that?

Giana Twisters Bundle -80% is it worth? This would count as two games correct?

I believe the coupon it's only for Twisted Dreams, not the bundle, but not sure.

Oh wait!
I'm thinking of buying the 2 giana sisters games
So instead of getting both coupons, can I get only the 80% one?
Will the discount apply for the bundle's final price? :o

Grimrock is also a fun game.

Nice, will definitely pick up Trine when I get paid, didn't want to play the 2nd I got from the HiB first.

EDIT: Damnit, why could Frozen Synapse not be half that price to begin with? I don't want or need a second damn copy. >.>

Frozen Synapse was only really fun for me against friends. Maybe they figure more people are like me, so the "2 for 1" thing makes sense?

I've gotten two free so far, and it's starting to seem like the biggest remaining deals are prioritized for the free one (Shadowgrounds Survivor and Death Rally both at 80% off for my free two thus far). Anyone able to confirm this, or is my luck just that odd? Wouldn't surprise me much if it's the latter

Q: How does the system decide which Steam Key I get for free?

A: The system checks your current Steam Library to see which games you have and tries to give you a random Steam Key for a game you don't already own.

However, the system also checks that for any given game in the campaign a ratio of 3:1 (3 games sold for each free game given) is in place at the time of randomization.

If the ratio is 3:1 or higher at the time of randomization, the game can be given away to you. If it is not at least 3:1 the game cannot be given for free until it has sold more. If you own a lot (or all) of the games in the campaign, it can lead to you getting a game you already own.

Damn that was difficult to find.

Can we give the coupons to someone who doesn't have to spend the same amount in Euros as other people in $ and let him/her buy it for me, later activate the gifts myself AND still be eligable for the random bonus game?
My guess is it only checks if you own the games, not if you actually bought them yourself.

1 decade ago

To get the coupons you have to link it to a Steam account. I doubt you could "switch accounts" part-way through the process.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The coupons are tradeable, and the site only checks if you own the game, so this should work.

Theoretically speaking, if for example you chose a coupon for, let's say, EDGE, but you already have EDGE in your gift inventory and decided to activate it after receiving the coupon for EDGE, would it count towards as one of the three games bought for a free game? I am unsure if the website does track whether you used the coupon or not, but rather, if the game is in your library after receiving the coupons. Just seeing if there's a loophole to the FAQ or not.
