what ltier of single game you normally brought

View Results
standard edition, lowest tier everygame only that.
deluxe edition, more content like soundtrack art wallpaper
gold edtion, all content above plus season pass DLC all the way
standard edtion plus i will buy expansion pass or dlc which i decide later because of fun but a littlebit more cost
top tier, platinum edition is mine because i already studied what come is worth mine
GOTY edition all content in and save one but 2-3 year later but i am alway ready for it

I never buy game at full price, and regarding standard, deluxe, or gold edition its depends on the additional content, if its only soundtrack, art work, MP stuff, SP stuff but too short or just isnt worth it i wont even bother,

Whatever edition comes with as many DLCs as possible, though it's rarely worth it for me to get the pre-order DLC, and I don't really need consumable DLCs. Usually, I'd wait for all the DLCs to be included in a package or a bundle and buy the whole thing on sale.

That said, I don't buy DLCs for all the games I own. Only those which I find good enough to spend money on, or those DLCs which are extremely cheap (in bundle, or wholesale sites).

Starter Edition here aha. When you don't have much money to buy complete games, you have no choice. I personally prefer to buy lowest tier (Starter on R6 yeah), to save money to buy other games.

It depends. I normally buy the standard version because I'm content with the basic content, but I usually wait a long time to get a game and then it's the GOTY version that's on sale. But I also did buy the deluxe edition of Life is Strange: Before the Storm purely for the bonus episode.

Time is the best filter for hyped games, so buying a couple years later is always prefered (except for multiplayer games, of course, which will likely be dead by then, but I don't play many of those). It also means 75% off in most cases :D

Being a student and living on pretty limited finances I tend to stay only with bundles..
I buy a single game if theres a huge sale.. If GOTY or Deluxe is offered with huge discount I will probably get that (being a completionist)
But if it gets bit more pricey (for me that would be anything more then 10 bucks for a game) I stay with standard edition..Getting a DLC or two in the process...

Usually I buy standard edition (mostly on sale), maybe also some DLCs later, if I'm interested in them.

But for Pillars of Eternity 2 I went with Obsidian edition, because I loved the first part very much, so I don't have any doubts that I will love the second one too.

It depends on the game. I usually don't buy games until a year later so if it has a GOTY edition in a nice price, I'll go for it, but if I'm not too sure about it I'll just get the standard.
The last two games I bought was Life is Strange Before the Storm (Standard) and Rise of Tomb Raider (Deluxe, I think) and I actually regretted, should bought the versions in the other way around (it was dumb, I didn't realize i could not get just the Farewell DLC from LiS without buying the whole thing, and the extra stuff from Rise really isn't worth IMO)

Preferably GOTY, but otherwise a reasonable price for what I want - it may be 90% off, but the unwanted DLC is still just extra money for something unwanted.

standard for me, all editions drop the same cards. ^^

But what about the "Extra card drops" dlc? Especially the 5.99$ one which guarantees one of the drops to be a foil?

Most of the time i just get the standard edition and then, if the game is good and the extra content is nice i will probably get the season pass or whatever is called. Sometimes when the season pass includes cosmetic stuff or challenges AND a single minicampaign i'd rather pick up the single player dlc alone, it is cheaper that way.
Other than that, i get the GOTY on sale when possible.

If I'm actually buying something then I go for the full edition. Anything else that's standard edition and whatnot I either traded for or got for free. Other than Fallout 4 I suppose but I couldn't afford the season pass at the time and not sure if that counts.
