The best thing you can do is to have printed Steam key code used on your account in the past. I am actually not sure if you need to have it printed, perhaps just any Steam key that was used on your account would work. But that's this.
PaySafeCard, Credit Cards, Paypal etc. used on your account would probably also let you retrieve your account.

I think safest way to give your billing address with CC info.

Just having a steam key is ok, you can find one in your winning page here on SteamGifts. Providing more is better, but one is enough. And you don't need a screenshot, just the code.

I think this kind of topic should be a reminder to all that relying on one single point of failure for access to one's whole game (and even other software) library is, globally, very bad voodoo.

Valve will give you, your account back.
Cards and other stuff are loosed.
Thats the price for telling them your login + password.

As someone posted my topic, steam support can get it back for you. A valid cd key from HB or such that was activated on the account will suffice.
The people here are awesome in supporting you in this. I will report the account as being compromised.

Deary, you better remove the profile link as it is considered calling out and is not allowed here on SG. Also, they literally had their name changed to "I'm under phishing attack" followed by "Don't click any links". You know, sometimes reading really helps.

yes you're right I just want to report it here to not scammed someone else, I think steam will block this account anyway, I've reported him to steam !

You do realize that they got hacked the same way you did. Do you want us to report your account to Steam to be blocked as well?

I think this same hack/phishing attempt must be going around (I didn't fall for it or get my account compromised) but I just got a friend invite of someone I do not know and well looking at their profile they have a similar link to the one OP got sent via chat.

Remember your messages get logged.

See if the account was used to phish for more accounts.

I know this should be common but it was 100% pishing and clear.

There are some rules to use to not get in this situation.

One would be no gambling links.

Second check the spelling, it has ) here and there, the punctuation is all over the place etc.

If you see a link like that never open it if the site is unknown to you or first try to find the site and compare the link to the real one.

If the link says to login in with the steam account never do that, ever, this is how they got your account.

Contact your friend with another platform because steam was infected and the hacker would respond, ask him what this link was.

More important, now warn all your friends about his situation and his friends

Seems like he isn't the hacker, but also fell for the same phishing as you did.

Hello.

Please, remove link to "hacker" from your OP post. This attack forces stolen accounts to sent scam-link further. So it's possible people on your friend list also get scam-message from your account.

We don't want here witch-hunts, and user you linked to is not responsible for sending those messages.
