If you know someone else who plays CS is CS and basically perfect in its simplicity. Queuing solo will take ten years off your life.

What did you expect? I imagine most of us answered honestly. I myself voted no. Even though I have 150 hours in it, I would not recommend CS:GO to my worst enemy, you are better off playing any other FPS. Also, it has one of the most toxic communities in any game I have played. Your teammate will sometimes start a vote to kick you just because he is bored, and 50% of the time, your other teammates will vote yes.

+1, I've got over 400 hours and, looking back, I regret every minute playing it

Are you 12?
Do you like to yell "Allahu Ackbar" at strangers?

If both are "yes", then it's worth it. If both are "no", then not worth it. 1 yes 1 no = maybe.

Pros:

  • Always fairly cheap
  • Lots of players 24/7
  • Number of game modes
  • Good physics engine
  • Polished official map design
  • Extremely low amount of bugs
  • Tactical
  • Playable on solo, but recommended to get a party
  • ELO system is well made (ignore the kids who got pissed off for lowering in rank, because 25% of players were GE)
  • Graphically good looking
  • Great dedicated servers
  • Skins (They're not needed, so extra optional money to Valve is good to keep up the esports scene and servers)

Cons:

  • Trolls
  • Eastern Europeans will hear "Сука, блять" quite a lot
  • Cancerous anti-hype

I wouldn't really recommend the game, but I really like arena shooter, so CSGO just felt too slow for me. The community also seems to be terrible and I don't get the skin obsession. If you seriously want to get it, wait for the sale.

If you want to get hypertension and a heart attack because of the trolls, the smurfs, the cheaters, and the stupid people, then buy it. :P Otherwise, don't buy it, but remember that you can get free cases and skins just by playing it. ;)

Nope.
Many people said you why, so I won't needlessly repeat it.
Stick to Team Fortress 2 if you want to play a team-based FPS, but I heard it might get the competitive treatment,
so it could easily become a free Counter-Strike with cartoon graphics.
