yes, i saw stuff like this aswell. or giveaways with a description like "only enter if you are online when the giveaway ends!!" what are those people thinking? ^^ and the billion-dollar-question: why do they even do giveaways? they obviously don't want to make someone happy. i think, in those cases giving away stuff is a purely selfish act.

My favorite is when the winner goes offline for six days immediately following the ending of the giveaway. It leaves me wondering why the person chose that particular time to take a vacation.

I could very well be guilty of that. I usually keep entering giveaways up to the minute I leave for vacations. I have never won anything while I was away though.

How about prior to creating the giveaway you send out gifts to every steamgifts member, that way when it ends you will be all set and can just sit back and relax. :P

i have done just a few giveaways here and most people added me instantly... thing is, i always sent the gifts via email and they don't even bother checking it. -_-

Won 2 giveaways, since a week I heard nothing from them. Added them, and it seems like one of them declined (the other is currently offline). :/

I am lucky, it happened to me only once.
But i remember, the guy added me and said that i HAD to send the key/gift right after the end of the giveaway, and not in a nice manner.
Well, he got his key and his place in my blacklist :)

The only time I worry about things within the week is when a winner adds me on steam but doesn't mark the key as received... and then don't contact me about it for days, so I don't know if there's a problem or if they just added me because.

I had the same happen to me on one of my recent giveaways. It wasn't even two hours after it ended that I got a Friend request and after I accepted the person got all antsy about getting his game. I ignored the PM and let the person stew until the seventh day when I finally sent it and removed him from my list without ever replying to them.

I haven't been so annoyed in a while. Two winners in a row just messaged me/posted simultaneously questioning why I hadn't sent them their gifts yet. One ended 14 hours ago, the other ended a bit earlier yesterday. Well, at least I get to spite one of them because he traded away one of his wins... I hope level 6 is enough to keep those kinds of people away.
