Considering the relatively widespread negative points issue, I'm not even sure if they meant to have only a 100 points each day. It's like the story about the boy who cried wolf - just Valve was so incompetent so many times, it's difficult to tell when they are seriously doing something, or just fucking up the system again.

Looks like they might have changed earned points to only be valid for a day. Yesterday it told me that I had earned 760 points by playing a game with achievements and my Boost Meter was at capacity (I had converted 100) but today it says I have earned 380 points and I "only have capacity to claim 100 points - Upgrade your Boost Meter's capacity or throw away the extra 280". They don't make it clear that the points will be "thrown away" before tomorrow but the reduced points total makes it look that way. Regardless, they have changed their wording to really trigger impulse spending by the problem/compulsive microtransaction spending/gambling market.

Yeah, the disparity between me getting 30k points for a 100%'d game and having a 100 point capaticity... but if I would buy a 50€ game it would be increased by ...6k. yay? :D
I expected a proper event when Valve was talking about being better, and interactive. Hell, rewards for cheevos and games is neat. If only they would give more shit for it. Like... connect it with the sticker album. Play games, get more stickers, build scenes. Not just various idle events, or events that nudge you into spending more. They treat "fun" as EA treats "surprise mechanics" :D

Obviously, someone has "stolen progress" on how Steam learns to make events.

The attacks used to be only be slow down. Steal progress has been added because slow down won't do anything meaningful when corgi is 10 times ahead of everyone else.

Yay so maybe I'll get to steal points from... yesterday's event. I still get a message that I have to wait until tomorrow. Meh

By now I wouldn't be surprised if we discover after the event that Steam actually had some great discounts for games which currently have none.
