Did I lose the points of entered GAs when syncing ?

I don't know if it is true but I won a game a few days ago. I had entered several GAs of the same game. When I won the game, there were several GAs still running.
On Steam, I entered the code of the game then synced with Steamgifts. The remaining GAs were gone but I have the feeling that the involved points were gone too. I'm not sure about it.
Am I right ? Should I leave GAs (of a game I recently gained) before syncing ?
