Wanted to like this game. Wanted to love it as much i loved the DoW1... But i just cannot... It feels so chaotic, not tactical and so much stripped out of all these cool features that the first game had. There is no choice but to build a blob and swarm everything on your short, straight way to enemy base.

Being put in a bundle this soon after release while being an AAA title wasn't that good a sign to begin with, meaning it was foreseeable they'd unfortunately pull the plug rather sooner than later. It felt as lackluster and unoriginal as C&C 4, kinda trying to copycat and include other games' features that nobody wanted. I hope the DOW series doesn't get the same treatment as the C&C franchise though :s.

Its basically what happened here.After all,the turd known as "C&C4" was supposed to be just some online game for the asians before EA execs decided to pretty much con the C&C fanbase for extra sales.In this case,the situation has been reversed-Relic made DoWIII into a pathetic MOBA (which,obviously,nobody asked for and nobody wanted) and have completely neglected it in the process.
In the end,both games sucked major balls because the corps got greedy.

Well.. the game is okie on it's own but compare to dawn of war II it's a big step down. Plus the horrible single player level design. The one that designed level 1 needs to be shoot. I have a couple friends after playing level one gave up on playing the rest of the game.

Probably there will be Dawn of war 4 somewhere in the future, I don't think the game will be dead forever

Maybe.I'd say its going to depend on whether or not AoEIV ends up being worth a damn (and given what happened to DoWIII,I can't shake the feeling that Microsoft has made a terrible mistake).
Still,even if they start working on it,if they let the same faces behind this disaster on board or if they won't give a damn about their product again,they might as well just pull the trigger on the franchise.Its going to bomb.Hard.

This game was dead on arrival.
This is not a Down of war game, it was a shit moba with the DOWIII slapped on top of it.
Also.. they claim they will stop now? LOL they stopped developing for the game in the first month.. they released only a friking balance patch and some character skins.

Not to say anything about how bad this game is comparing it with Down of War I and II games released YEARS ago, games so goo d that people are still playing in big numbers today!

Ugh.All these morons had to do was make a combo of DoWI and II.Maybe a reskin of I with graphics and elements from II.But nope-"Gotta turn it into MOBA!".Millions of casuals don't flock to it?"Meh,let it burn then."
The overall lack of fucks given about the game by its devs is...sad.

In a move that will surprise virtually no one,Relic has finally pulled the plug on the joke that was WH40k:Dawn of War III less than a year after its release.Whoever still hoped that they will actually do something to fix that particular trainwreck just got slapped one last time.

It goes without saying that its probably not a good sign when a studio manages to cock up one of their core series like that.Heck,people are already calling it Relic's "C&C4".An apt comparison and not one that a studio would ever want to be made,unless its dead-set on committing corporate suicide.
Anyway,game is dead.May it find the care it deserved at the God Emperor's side,for its creators obviously didn't give a damn.
