Socks are too long: cut off the toe end and stitch them back up. (Keep the seam on the inside of the sock for more attractive results.
Socks are too short: Repurpose or reuse the socks. You can gift them to someone with smaller feet, or you can use the socks for something else entirely. (e.g. cut off the bottom/toe-end to form a wrap or sleeve for jars, et cetera). Woolen socks can be turned into hot-pads.

In the past few weeks I had a cakeday, won the 200th "gift", had my 1st anniversary with my plug in baby, and landed a full-time job which I start on Dec the 1st. Oh, and this post will get me closer to level 7 giveaways, which is best in life, so also that. I just wanted to let the community know, since that is kind of a necessity here.
