The best way is just not to worry about CV. Give away what you can when you can because "you want to" not because it will raise some number on a web site. Then it doesn't matter if you give away bundle games or not and you don't have to worry about pages full of writing and formulas.

I don't want to be number one or anything :) Just that is annoying when I can't join a giveaway of a game that I really want just because of my contributor level. I aim to 100 usd contributor level. And it is also annoying when you giveaway a few games that you paid for and it does not raise your level even a tiny bit.

"Can someone simply explain how it works?"
Sure! You just type the primary keywords of your query in the search box in the top right of the forum.
Then you get multiple results with the answer:

You get full contributor value from bundled games BUT bundled games cannot increase your CV by more than 20% of the total point value of the non-bundle games that you have given. However, the first 25 points worth of bundle games are treated as non-bundle, just to give you the benefit of the doubt. This means you can't get more than 30CV without giving any non-bundle.
Right now you have given 73 points of bundled games. SteamGifts is nice and treats you as having given 25 points of non-bundled and 48 points of bundled games. 20% of 25 is 5, so only the first 5 of your 48 points of bundled games counts toward your CV. Make more non-bundled giveaways and more of your bundled points will count toward your CV.

Thanx for your explanation. That was what I asked for. I really would give you a rep point if this page works that way :) Thank you.

If you can buy bundle games, you can buy steam gifts when they are on sale cheap. E.Y.E.:Cybermancy is a non-bundle game, that is about $10 and was on sale for a buck or so roughly 2 wks ago. THOSE would have raised your CV. I suggest you watch the specials on Steam, and also have the "Create a Giveaway" tab open at same time, so you can look and compare, to find non-bundle games to buy on sale to raise your CV, IF that is what you are trying to do.

Thanx for your advice. I think I might get some Red faction soundtrack with %90 discount now :)

@Ayce
I did not ask why those games could not make my contributor level 100usd, I asked why they dont raise it a cent.
@RazielAntemos
Thanx for your advice(!). If I pay for one game, I rather to play it! If I buy bundle I play what I like to play and giveaway what I dont like to play. Got it?
@BrandeX I red those pages, I even red full details page. If you just red my fist message i want a simple explanation for why the bundle games does not raise contributor level after 30 usd. And those pages says "Total Value = Non-Bundle Value + min(Bundle Value, Non-Bundle Value * 0.2);" I'm an engineer and i really wonder who wrote that so called formula :)

I gave away 3 bundle games: Xotic, Volt Zeno, Clash 2. Winners got the games. Since they are bundle games, i don't expect them to go full value but they did not raise my contributor value a cent. Please don't send me links to pages full of writings and formulas. Can someone simply explain how it works?
