Under-known: The Cat Lady.
I wont say much, only that is one of my favorite games of all time. Just read the reviews.

Schizm: Mysterious Journey: Terrible name, but any Myst-lover should check this one out. It's similar to the Myst games, but harder (in a good way!)
Hammer & Sickle Set in the same universe as Silent Storm. Great, but very very challenging.
Avernum: Escape from the Pit Something for fans of CRPGs with good writing and challenging tactical combat. Ugly, but great (and quite lengthy).
Delve Deeper: Fun light strategy game about dwarfs who try to mine as many valuables as possible.
Dominions 4 Great 4X-ish fantasy strategy game with large scale combat, an utterly insane amount of content (Do we need several thousand types of units? Nope. But we have them!)
Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom sim: One of the most entertaining RTSs I've ever played. If you've never tried to be the GM for a pen & paper RPG, this one gives you a good idea of what it feels like ;)

Majesty's link is broken, redirects to store page - the working one is the Majesty Gold HD's page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/25990/
(And it's indeed a great game, as we already discussed if I remember well ^^ Funny to see how chaotic a game can be, and how hard is to pull together the seemingly random personalities of wizards, rogues, warriors and various other characters. That's how parents feel with their kids rampant?)

Almost no one knows this game. It's an action-adventure with an excellent story, good graphics and good fighting system. The PC port has some slight problems, but they're fixable.
To me, it's an absolute classic and extremely memorable. I don't tend to remember many of the games I play. This is one of those that stand out.

I'd have to say Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube. It's a puzzle game. But the sound effects, the tranquil music, the beautiful sky gardens. The game is so pleasing to play. Finding the secrets on each level is quite tricky. They're cleverly hidden and it takes some time and thinking to find them. Regardless, it's a pleasing game and I wish it had gotten more attention. I just wish I had a better computer to run some of the later levels as they get more expanse as new cubes with different effects are added into the game.

Clive Barker's Undying had great reviews when it came out, but never got really popular.
These days everytime i mention the name, most people have no idea what it is.

Well I did find this. https://steamdb.info/app/24880/
But since we are talking about EA, this game is unlkely to ever appear on Steam unless someone else gets rights for the game.

Risk of Rain
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
Rogue Legacy
Cave Story+
That's really all I got for goodies that nobody talks about. Cave Story might be old, but I think it aged pretty well.

I have three and the fourth (Recettear) on my wishlist :D Just because we don't talk about it doesn't mean we don't know / like it :) Rogue Legacy eff'd me over a few A LOT times, but it's really good, typical no-brainer buy during sales, for like less than 2€. Risk of Rain still one of the best co-op games, and it can run on a potato :D Cave Story... I've lost where I was in the game, I should restart it. I can spend minutes in the menu, I love it's music :)

I'll throw in sth from me:
Sacrifice - for fans of strategy genre with magic
Continue?9876543210 - for those who want to make peace with death
Darksiders series - for those who're jealous for console slashers
Avernum: Escape from the Pit - for fans of classic cRPGs
Tales of Symphonia - basically, any "Tales of" game is a must-play for people who at least can accept jRPG genre, ToS is going to be released in 2016, try this one earlier:
Tales of Zestiria
Sanitarium - because adventure games used to be mind-blowing (almost literally)
Legend of Fae - might look like a Puzzle Quest clone but it actually is quite different in gameplay and don't judge the plot by the graphics... the game's story is much darker than Dragon Age's
Dandelion - Wishes brought to you - & Nameless - The one thing you must recall - - a bit pricy but great visual novels in manhwa style
Rise of the Triad: Dark War - if you think Quake was the first game with rocket-jump, get your facts straigt with Rise of the Triad and its awesome music (remake is fun too: Rise of the Triad)
99 Spirits - if someone likes word games with a Japanese twist
As for console games, throw your money at Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku) series and if you have PS3, be sure to buy Yakuza 5 coming in English this year (yeah, almost 3 years passed since the Japanese release).
Yakuza in EU PSN store

Even though the title is well known I would like to give a special acknowledgement to the resilience of the original Deus Ex to players setting traps for scripted npc's, contrast this with Sniper Elite 3 were there was a level on my first play through that I had to go back through and EOD the traps I had set because they killed someone important and it provided so little feedback about that that I had thought it was a broken level bug till I checked the forums and found out what was happening.
