Hi,

I want to check which steam games i don't currently own with a list of all the steam games that are currently available on steam store. Is there any way to do this? Or does anyone know any way that can get this sorted?

Thanks in advance.

No, i am aware of that. I am looking if there's any list ( text list ) that i can cross match with games i have, and generate a final list that contains game's i don't own in a text format just like compare2steam does.

ik , I am looking if there's any unofficial list of available steam games that i can cross check with games i have and generate a text list . Just like compare2steam. I can then generate a list of games that a particular steam account doesn't own or have.

no there is not because it changes ~50x every day.

my question is, what would even be done with such a list?

It's just a thought that came up. It's not necessary in most cases but i can think of some use such as for those who trade games to those who is looking for games that they are missing, so they can get a list of games that individual is missing and cross check with the available ones seller has .

i see.. unfortunately even if you had a list though the post limitations would stop you. currently posts can only contain 10,000 characters, and there are around 10-15k games on steam (times at least the 6 digit appid # for each, if not more).

no, i'm not sure what that is, but it's way to tiny to be a list of every single steam game there is minus owned content.

it's a list of all available steamIDs + content name...

oh okay. my first ~5-6 times trying to load it cut the page off way early with only ~100 titles..

that still wouldn't really help with want they truly want anyways. ignoring that it has owned stuff also, it additionally lists all DLCs, Packages, & Sub-Ids, which would make the list pretty inaccurate even if it could be compared against an owned list.

Thanks. Apparently sites like compare2steam does use steam api to load over 35k title list and cross match, and that's what i was looking for.

Thank you but i believe this doesn't contain full lists?

Also is there any way to get a txt file of all the games in list format?

That's filtered to the 14K items that are games though you can remove the filter to all 40K items. It includes items that haven't released yet, the only things (if any) it won't include are anything that isn't findable in the api - and in those cases no other site/tool will find them either.

I'm sure there'll be an easy way to export it to a txt file but I'm not sure what that would be.
