Have fun with the kids and a happy halloween! Just a normal day for me, except I'll probably end up giving sweets to kids :)

Whee, missing one. :D
I'll sit on my PC at home and chat with people on forums and chats.

Personally, I'd just be another day for me if it weren't for the kids; I'd probably just be sitting at the PC, working on some art or writing, chatting with a couple friends, as usual. I don't even do parties, not a party person. Crowds and too many people just aren't my thing. I have to be in the right mood, and even then, I just sit and people watch.

Looks like it's going to be fun.
And yeah! Go Steampunk! Don't miss the chance!!
We don't actually have Halloween here (Brazil) but it's been popping around lately. (thanks globalization)
I'll probably take my nephew to a little costume-party this Wednesday. I'm not sure he have something ready, will have to think about it tomorrow...
I'll go as Shaun, from the 'Shaun of the Dead' movie. :)

Yeah, Steampunk is always a great costume go-to for anything that requires dressing up. Very easy to do and I already have all the stuff for it. I went to a ComiCon a couple yrs ago and that was what I dressed as one day. I have an actual old school top hat I found at an antique mall; it is a little worn and has a little hole at the top in the edge, but that just means it was well loved and also gives it a more used and "authentic" look in my opinion. I have boots galore; boots, especially knee-high boots, are my guilty pleasure. I have several corseted tops and plenty of misc other accessories. When life wasn't so hectic and I had the room to do the set up, I used to do stock photography so actually have lots of costumes and get-ups of various kinds.
^_^ And that sounds fun, taking your nephew to a costume party. You sound like one those cool uncles kids love to hang around and can't wait to see. Hope you two have a blast ^__^

More fun if you are a kid, or someone who loves going out to parties. If it weren't for the kids, it would be another day for me. I don't do parties.

Good luck ^_^
Yeah, I live in Texas, and since there is a large Hispanic-Catholic presence, learned about it some when I was in school. Learned more when I was in Spanish during high school. When I lived in Seattle, they'd hold a weekend long Day of the Dead festival and Hispanic Culture festival at Seattle Center, because of that, if wasn't as grim as some DotD traditions. There'd sometimes be mariachi bands (I probably spelled that wrong XD ) and the women dancing in the bright, elaborate dresses. They'd have craft booths for the kids to make the sugar skulls and to decorate them, and other things like that.

Aye, Hispanic people do that. Still it's more fun than the bleak ceremonies we have in Poland. Also - a Halloween costume idea, but you have to have a bike for it :D

Awwh your kids sounds adorable! Seems like a fun holiday for you and your family, I hope you guys will have a blast for Halloween this year too! :D

XD Thanks, they are and they know it. Try to use that "I'm cute" to their advantage but being mom, I am sort of immune to that and it doesn't work (most the time LOL ). I do try to make the holidays, regardless of which it is, fun for them. When your a kid, things like that are always special and I want them to have great memories to look back on when they grow up. Life is full of enough crap and bad moments, have to make some good ones to balance it out.

Happy Halloween folks!
Will be taking the kiddos out Friday night; last year we lived out in the country, so we didn't have the option to go out. Just stayed in, stayed up late, and goofed off. Daughter is dressing up in a fancy gown and mask like she's going to a masquerade; my 5.5 yr old son wanted to be Mario since I asked him a month ago what he was going to be for Halloween, so proud gamer-momma I am. (He LOVES Mario Bros, as well as Minecraft). Depending on how long it takes to help them get ready, will dictate on whether on not I actually dress up. If I do, steampunk. Then once back home, I will probably sit, enjoy some movies online or some "Let's Play" on youtube, relax with the boyfriend via skype video chat, get started on all that giftart I am making friends for Christmas and Solstice. Daughter said she wanted to hand out candy, so will let her do that until it runs out. I decorated the front with some those fake webs yesterday, and then of course it had to get REALLY windy last night. Will carve the pumpkin tomorrow.
What are you guys up to? Parties? Taking you kids, siblings out trick-or-treating? Sitting with a bowl of nummies and watching something? Special game lined up? Or just another night like any other?
So, anyway, as promised, the various things I have been getting and/or saving up to give away for Halloween. Everything having a Halloween-like theme in some form or fashion. Yes, lots of zombies, because that is still one the big things right now; I did try to get some misc other horror stuff as well as things related to death, skeletons, ghosts, or general "spookiness".
I am doing this in a series, starting and ending on various days until Friday, because I currently have 27 things and only 20 slots. Plus, this makes it easier to stay on top of things and not loose track. I nearly had a screw up during my last mini-series of giveaways a week or two ago, and that was just a handful of games. [Too many tabs and windows going, on computer and in brain XD ] Some of this is bundled games in key or link form, some of it is actual Steam gifts, some of it is keys redeemable on Steam, and some of it is DLCs (actually, almost half, since I got a lot of it for great prices on Gamer's Gate or steam). A mix of many things. I tried to get a little variety in there as best I could with the limited money I have right now.
Now to start everything off, the things from bundles:
Next round of giveaways:
Next round of giveaways:
And depending on how things look tomorrow, I may add a few "flash" giveaways ^_^
Second round of giveaways over and in the process of giving gifts to winners (since most were gifts and not keys, waiting on folks to accept friend requests)
