Looking for help in choosing a smartphone

Bloody hi there,

So I never though I'll be making this kind of thread, but yet again, there's always a first time for everything.

So my phone plan recently ended and the company is offering me a new phone that I can choose from. To be honest, I'm not addicted to phones, so last time I chose from variety of phones, I chose the most intelligent looking phone that was out there at that time.

Now before you go to the comments section and write that ONE comment "Pfff. I use the phone only for sending messages and answering calls" or "I'm only using a button phone, what's a smart phone?" and to all you grandmas and grandpas out there, don't post "What's a smartphone?" Please, do understand that we live in this kind of age, where technology is bla bla bla. We're all different and we all have different demands. So right now, I'm looking for a new smartphone.

I'm not addicted to phones, I don't take selfies, I don't browse trough FB or [insert more social links here] when I'm talking to a person or in general. BUT. Yes, but. I do play games, listen to music, go on-line, sometimes take pictures. So I'm somewhat mixed.

Manufacturer: Alcatel; CAT; HTC; Microsoft; Samsung; Apple; Coolpad; Huawei; Motorola; Sony; ASUS; GETNORD; LG; Nokia.
Model: Male-ish.
Price: ~500€

TL;DR

I'm looking for a smartphone. My budget is ~500EUR. I'm a male.

look for a phone that can do your homework and cook and clean , that is a very smart phone in my opinion .

It's not one of the manufacturers you listed, but I recently bought Oneplus One and I'm very pleased with it. It wasn't very expensive, and it's pretty great for gaming. Has a big screen (thought this would be a problem at first because it would bug me while in my pocket, but it hardly weighs anything so I don't even feel it) and lots of space and ram. You have an even bigger budget than mine, so you could probably get the new one, Oneplus Two.
I doubt you can find a phone with better specs in this price range, but hey - I'm no expert. Had a terrible phone until a few weeks ago

HTC or Xaomi (if you cna get one with non-Chinese UI) if you want to stick to Android.
Lumia 6xx if you have an MS account and are not among the snobs and actually want to try a good mobile OS (Windows Phone 8.1 update 2 is a good OS and Win10 maybe will be better… hopefully?)

So I guess I'm gonna end up choosing the phone that looks the most intelligent looking.

I stumbled upon 2(3) Huawei models. P8 Lite, P8 and MATE 7. Any opinions on these models/manufacturers?

I'll Personally Suggest you the Samsung A7 http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a7-6763.php It's a Really Good Phone , a friend of mine has it and he is pretty Satisfied by it
