Guys, please help me with CS:GO!

I bought it from the sale yesterday, and at every 2nd match loading the game crashes. Sometimes it crashes at the first match loading and sometimes it crashes in menu!

Please... HELP ME!

Thanks in advance!

EDIT:

PC Specs: AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core @ 2x2.6GHz;
3GB RAM;
Nvidia GeForce GT 630 Gigabyte 2GB Edition;
1TB HDD

P.S.:I don't think that my PC is the problem cuz it runs the game on full graphics without any problems

I had the same problem 2 month ago.
I did that like 4 or 5 times (+ all the steps that steam support advice) and nothing worked.
The only things working is to play with lower graphics, that's all.

Did you overclock your CPU, GPU or they are running to their factory default and safe settings?

What kind of crash? Return to desktop without any message?

Try validate your files and see if that helps.

Right click the game in your library > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache.

Just went through this nightmare. The most common cause is 32 bit platform (i.e. Vista 32 bit). Set all of the graphics to the lowest setting. Disable multi-core sampling. Set the game to run windowed full-screen. Some users had success running the game in XP compatibility mode. If none of that works, there are some more advanced options you can try.

im your savior

you need to get 64 bit windows, competitive cs only works on 64 bits

yeah, i know, valve sucks

Usually CS:GO changes its setting back to default in some cases.

I had a problem in my friend's computer and the settings may have caused this.

So try this.

Navigate to your CS GO folder. Then click on "csgo" then "cfg".

You will find a video.txt file, set that to read-only. After you changed your in-game settings.

Set everything to low/medium first in-game then un-toggle multicore rendering.

Then exit or alt tab, go to the video.txt file and set it to read only (So that it won't go back to the default video settings) .

This was my friend's case whenever the game loads another map the old values for the settings conflict with the new ones, which results into the crashes.

Edit: And you both have the same Processor and GPU. :D

I had the same problem 2 month ago. Even if I can run the game with high graphics it crashes every 2nd match, too.
So I turn graphics to "low" and no more problems now. And you should check the graphics settings everytime you start to play because like Ayce said, graphics settings back to default mode very often. (and the crashes come back too ^^")

Hey there again,

I turned down settings(including Multicore Rendering), Verfied Game Files, and now I get another message when loading 2nd match:

Engine Error: failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer

are you using any launch options?

maybe try updating your graphics drivers and re-installing direct x, what others have said.

I'm not using any launch options, and i have Nvidia Control Panel Installed witch keeps my driver up to date.

I will try reinstalling DirectX

Likely your video card drivers. Remove current drivers and reinstall fresh drivers.

Disable the 'Multicore Rendering' usually works.

Had very similar crashes (actually remember that vertex error message popping up once or twice as well) and this solution from the steam forums helped me, dunno what is the reasoning behind it, but whatevs it worked.. :D
