Region locked games from humble

Hello everyone, today I created a giveaway for a game from the new humble bundle but the winner says he can't use the key in his region (I thought humble games were always region free). Should I reroll and look for other games i have and send something else to him or what else could I do?

I believe, please correct me if I'm wrong, that sending the hb gift link instead of the key should work. IIRC this problem started with the Capcom hb and users reporting the keys were region locked.

Of course it doesn't solve your problem but just for future reference. I'm pretty new here so would wait for a more experienced user instead of saying something that is not allowed

in humble, not always is free region, sometimes is restricted to NA or EU, once I sold a game (humble) saying it was for NA and EU, but the guy (NA) surrendered and gave restricted to EU, I lost the key and the money :(

Always click in the "How redeem the key" page to check if have some region restrict

Thx for the feedback even if it doesn't help me right now. Next time I will use the gift option instead of pushing that other button. What should I do with the winner then?

Re-roll. I think Support may be ... supportive in this case since you couldn't have known it was locked. Not sure if it requires current winner's approval. I hope Support won't demand that you go buy a region-free copy for the winner.

I once won FFVIII but the key from the Humble store was locked. Apparently no indication of locks on the Humble store page, so I made it easy for the winner by stating in the giveaway thread that I agreed to a re-roll. Not sure if my agreement was necessary but it went through smoothly.

Re-rolling until I find a winner from my same region doesn't seem like a good plan. I'll try to delete it, the winner already told me I should do that.

If the winner agrees, it's actually quite simple.
Just have them reply to the giveaway thread with "I agree to cancel."
Then put in a support request to delete the giveaway [with a link to that reply in the request].
It's that simple :)

I don't think you can get a gift link on Humble after you reveal the key.

you can contact the ninjas, and ask them to set a gift link or replace tho key so it will work, they may take a week to get to you but they tend to be good about issues like this.

You can try to post here, to see if someone from your region, who buying bundle for himself, is willing to exchange.
