Do you believe there should be a "Report Giveaway" button on the giveaway page?
See, the problem is that it made to many support tickets for the moderators. so they took it off.
try a search on the forums, you will find a topic relevant already

I already searched the forum and found nothing relating to this specific issue. Instead of just telling me to go wildly searching through nearly 90,000 threads, why not just link me to the ones which pertain to this issue?
An easy fix would be to alter how the system works on their end. Instead of every report creating a separate ticket, reports of the same giveaway stack and those which are reported more are found on the top of the list with highest priority. Once an issue has been handled, the entire stack of tickets for that particular issue could be marked as resolved. This would drastically cut back on the time and effort of the moderator and greatly improve the service on both ends.

This is the thread. It's the 4th one if you search for"report" in the forum, not sure how you managed to miss it.

Sorry about that. I guess I was being too specific. I searched for "report giveaway" and didn't find any results. I guess I falsely assumed it would search for keywords, not verbatim.

Actually, that's not true. That button was way handier and didn't create any unnecessary tickets. Now there are tons of tickets that are created due to the lack of that button.
To the OP, we will hopefully have this added at some point. We've asked for it, as well.

Thanks! If you don't mind, I'll keep this thread open to make sure it keeps the idea known among the community and, if there's enough outcry for it, hopefully expedite the feature to a higher priority.
Feel free to close the thread any time.

I don't mind the thread or the discussion but there isn't much to defend here, at least support wise. It was clearly better with the button and a list than it is now with each giveaway having 50 (for example) tickets created because 50 users decided to report it.

Hope you can bring it back then, I have seen a lot of Origin and Region Locked GAs lately, even if people explained the problem on the comment section the OPs didn't read it, naturally.

You are the most constructive contributor in all of SteamGifts. Thanks for your participation.

Why was it even removed in the first place? No one knows. Just a missing feature from V1.

I assume it was just an overlooked feature which wasn't encoded while building the new site. Either that or it was deliberately left out for some stranger reason, though I doubt this given that it was such a helpful addition to the community for both users and moderators alike.

As is stated in cg's changelog in the upcoming additions, this feature is already planned and will be added soon. There is no point in keeping this thread open any longer.

One significant issue I've noticed is that despite the clear FAQ & Rules, people still create fake or misleading giveaways, or attempt to give away a free game before it's unlisted. Naturally, these giveaways should be reported so that the moderators can remove them, hopefully before a winner is chosen. The method of reporting these users, however, is much more of a hassle than it was before the major site update, when a single "Report Giveaway" button was available for a quick report.
My suggestion is to bring back this button to help streamline the giveaway reporting process and ensure that giveaways which break the rules are reported more often. At this time, the hassle of manually reporting a giveaway may discourage users from reporting them and thus prevent some giveaways from being closed or deleted in time.
If this feature is already planned or in development, then apologies for the ignorance. If that is the case, I'll gladly close this thread.
