Eventually, yes. It is more of a long-term solution, especially for those who rely on actual phone apps. Having an account with a WinAuth authenticator on the side can be used in such cases. And also for gem pile merging, potential card farming, storing unneeded inventory itemsβ¦

I've had the same issue with the last season cards (last winter I think?), and yes, as others said, the cards expire 1 month after the sale, so you'll have time to trade them. It still annoys me that to them "double auth" is only with a mobile phone and can't be done using e-mail (they could use PGP if they want to go the really secure way). A mobile phone is just a hardware liability IMO.

Don't worry you still have 1 month left to craft your badges. The sale cards are valid till 5th August. And while you are at it why don't you enable steamguard or WinAuth? There will be still hold at trading/selling cards or items for a week or so, but there won't be a hold at receiving cards or items.

i got similar problem. I got over 200 cards in my bot which i can use to complete many badges but i cant trade till like 20th July so rip :D

Chill out, the cards expires in August. Also, it probably be more expensive by the time you can use the market again (good if you're planning to sell)

So yeah, the title says it all I guess, I won't be able to complete even a single badge since I cannot buy cards on community market or even trade them through Steam until 9 July. I should not really care but it is annoying seeing all the duplicate cards I got and knowing I can do jack**** with them. I have tried contacting support but got just generic "we can do nothing for you"
Can you think of anything I could do?
