Ask for a proper one, else mark it not received after 7 days.

You can have it deleted, but totally up to you (there are gifters trying on purpose to pass off a free game as something else, but you can usually tell).

Make sure you take a screenshot of the game activation screen which says "____ had been added to your account" of whatever and the Licenses and product key activations on your steam account. May help verify you are telling the truth to the creator of the GA, or possibly a mod if the creator isn't working with you.

That's crap advice.
You should instead be telling people to go to their Licenses page
which lists what was added to their account and when.

With the licenses page, you shouldn't need a screenshot of the game activation.

First off, rood. There are dozens of better ways of saying that Koit.

Second off I clearly said "...and the Licenses and product key activations on your steam account." Which is exactly what you suggested. No need to be so quick to the trigger there Ace.

The game activation screenshot is to potentially show that the specific product key used is what activated the incorrect game, rather than someone activating the GA key on a different account, then using a unrelated key on the main one they claim is for the wrong game.

Basically you could take a screenshot while activating any key and tell that was it.
I think ASF is one of those tools that actually shows the key and what was it for if you really need a proof, but then again the giveaway creator can test the key himself.

I'd agree to delete the GA, if i was you - in the case, if GA creator will propose such solution to you...

Happened to me once. I was the one that fucked up and gave the wrong key by accident. Fortunately the winner was okay with the game and I asked support to change the giveaways game name to the one I gave away.
I would say to ask him/her/it to agree to that, if not...... well, at least you tried.
