Nah, GoatZ was underrated. It had an immersive world, a great level-up system, perk points at alternate levels, and you could even turn from a goat into a cow with the cheat code. Don't slander GoatZ.
EDIT: NEVER MIND I WAS BS'ING I THOUGHT YOU WERE MAKING A JOKE THAT CRAP IS REAL OW MY EYES I AM GOING TO INSERT PINS INTO MY EYES.

Oh, wow. I didn't see that you are a developer. Did you work on GoatZ?

You missed the party boat. We had a swell time. Did the wave. Went overboard. Coasted along. But then having to go ashore again is when it sunk in the party was over. I remember it like it was yesterday, which is a serious problem because it was only an hour ago, just before you got here.

Pretty much. Except instead of a party boat, lots and lots of paperwork.

Oh, good. I would have almost maybe felt slightly sad that I disparaged that horrid piece of nuclear waste if you had been one of the developers for it.
I'd buy you a beer so you could cry into it and tell me about your childhood and what all went wrong in your life to lead up to you creating that abomination.

Nice one, very good idea. I'd probably be interested in this, since I'm always looking to promote underrated and under-appreciated indie gems anyway. It's right up my alley and something I do regardless of groups.

I think I'd be interested in something like that. I've been playing through my backlog and just went through several negatively reviewed games. Some definitely deserve it but I did find a few that I just had no idea why everyone was hating on it so much. Though I've slowed down with the game and bundle buying for the time being, I'd do my best to pop in on the group at least once a month with a review and/or giveaway (if I were to be invited ;) )

Very nice idea, I don't know if I qualify or not but please consider me:)

Well, for some reason Just cause 3 has mixed reviews but it's been patched now and is smooth for me. It's a great game and definitely worth the money.
But for unknown good games, I have to say Risk of Rain, I played around 50 hours in it and it never got boring, there was plenty to do and it was really interesting playing with friends.

Have you ever gone so far that the game crashed? :D I've been skipping levels so that the difficulty would increase and I met my friend fatal error.

I think I've heard of this before. For some people the game crashed at some point if they kept playing. I was lucky and this never happened to me though. Probably a PC/hardware/OS thing. And I do remember some endless runs that I had countless upgrades.

I think I remember you from my other thread Games you have never seen being given away. :) I've heard many good things about you :) Welcome aboard!

Broforce, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Nuclear Throne, Hero Siege, Edge of Space, Not a Hero, Titan Souls, Antichamber and so on ;D

I know almost all of these except edge of space. It does indeed look decent but is it really that good?

It's up to you, I personally enjoyed these though I haven't played some of these much but Hero Siege is still one of my favorite games. Crypt of the Necrodancer has cool music and gameplay is interesting, Broforce is fun overall since I like games like this :P Nuclear Throne is hard but very enjoyable for me at least (sorry I'm not a person who reviews games so I can't really tell you what I like them and why they're good) :)

This sounds like a great way to find out about some great games. If you are interested in having me, I'd like to join.

Awesome idea :). I know a few of games like that, though currently I'm mostly focused on getting my friends into text-based games ^^. I feel like to many people dismiss them just because there's no graphic or music or whatever, but the truth is that in current situation, they usually offer more deep and full of choices and consequences gameplay that games from Telltale or RPGs.

I have to concur a little about RPGs - the older, non-voiced ones has incredible diversity in the choices section - like Fallout 1-2, Arcanum, Baldur's Gate, or recent Pillars of Eternity.
Btw what games do you referered to as text-based games? Despite how it could be seen from my little ramble, I'm really intrested about your recommendations :)

Oh, I agree with that :). I wasn't precise, I'm referring mostly to current titles. I feel like almost every game lose a lot of plot options only by adding voices to characters and especially for the main character ;). That's way I'm really worried about Fallout 4. I hope to play Pillars of Eternity soon :).
In terms of text based games, I'm referring mostly to the Choice of Games - they have plenty of games on their site and less, but still quite a lot on Steam :). All of those games are rather cheap (usually below 5 euros), but they usually have large amount of options, starting from your character customization, going through the whole plot and ending on.... ending, I guess ;). Of course they have different authors, themes and length, so there are better and worse, but the best of them (like Choice of Robots, Tin Star, Zombie Exodus or even Hero Rise trilogy) have amazing amount of options to choose from.

Aye I do agree - I also really like playing the Choice of Games.. games.. and most of the ones I've tried are truly excellent and being textbased there are some larger consequenses which is something I'm dissapointed of in a bunch of the more famous games - mostly the Telltale games that I think should be capable of doing it better (I do still enjoy playing them though). I haven't played Tin Star yet though - heard a lot of good stuff about it but haven't gotten around to get it yet.
As for the group itself I would be very interested to join up... but I would guess my knowledge of the gaming world is lacking quite a lot though to really be able to contribute - Great idea, nevertheless... ;)

Yay <3 It's great to meet someone who also enjoys them :D. And I agree with every one of your point - I'm also disappointed with Telltale's consequences (especially in terms of endings). Sadly, same goes for Life is Strange. But I think it's understandable - giving a lot of different outcomes will mean adding a lot of new content, not only text, but graphic stuffs, voice, etc., etc. Still, I like those games, but in terms of plot, especially involving or based on choices, text games are right now the most complex and advanced.

IDEA
The group concentrate on giving away games that are considered as hidden gems. Hidden gems are:
There are no restrictions how many giveaways members should create per month and what quality or value these giveaways should be. The whole idea is about sharing with other users great games that they might miss. You've found a game that seems intriguing to you? You've played awesome game that seems to be underated? You want to share your trove? Create your giveaway for the group! This is the only rule. A short adnotation why the game should be played would be nice too but it's not obligatory.
RECRUITMENT
Due to the fact that group is very specific we'll be recruiting only people who:
