Yeah he takes so many risks too when he paints. Well I see them as risks, because he has a masterpiece and then adds something right down the middle. It always turns out great, but I would be too afraid of screwing things up.

After some quick search I found that he had already painted them before the show once, so I'd say that he wasn't painting out of his mind but knew since the beginning what he was going to do. However, little does it matter because he was a peaceful person and that's why most people love him :)

Yeah I'm sure he did a lot of preparation. He probably had the painting next to him while he painted live. Most people just love him for his positive personality and creative mind.

Yeah, most painters consider him an average at most, but this doesn't really matter to us non art related people. I see a happy tree, I like it :D

I have the same feeling everytime I watch someone paint. I always think "OH, that's cool, now leave it like that.. Wait, what, NO... WHY?!" but overall it's just like... He made a cloud and it was perfect right away and I'm struggling to make anything near that. :D

Twitch is streaming it officially (they bought rights) to the old show "Joy of Painting". They did this because they are officially releasing a new creative channel on twitch for people that don't play games but do creative things like paint or 3d modeling or something else. So yeah it's not live, it's a old show when dinosaurs like myself watched television :P

They would usually ban your channel if you didn't primarily game. You could do other stuff like cooking but your channel has to be primarily gaming. Now you can just do art stuff if you set it to creative.

That's totally my problem. I learn how to do one part and can't finish it. I used to have these art books as a kid, but I could only seem to master one or two small things. Not enough to create a full picture.

Bob Ross on Twitch, Sesame Street going to HBO...I feel like my childhood is wishing Rule 34 was the only way the Internet could ruin it.
On a positive note, awesome that Bob Ross is getting some love, the guy has a very cool back story and this being the 20th anniversary of his death is a fitting time to put some happy little trees and clouds, into everyone's life.

I know not everyone likes Twitch but they are doing a 9 day marathon of Bob Ross "Joy of Painting" to celebrate the official release of the Creative Section. I used to watch him so much.
