They are somewhat synonyms, however I just follow the site naming conventions, like Steam call the bluish things coupons, but GMG refers the discount codes as vouchers.

Yes, that is something. I have never really understood (during my 7 years of life experience) why they bring 4-6 pieces of croquettes in restaurants, while the natural measure for them is dozen, starting with 1.
