think people just blind themselves when they got fooled.

Calling your is when I for example write "jeffhowe scammed me" or "jeffhowe made fake giveaway".
Pretty sure you can see why it's wrong thing to do.
Of course, sometimes people really were scammed. Or make fake giveaways. But sometimes there are impersonators that pretend to be other people and sometimes "so called fake" turns out to be real giveaway and it's not nice to accuse innocent people...

I assume it's only when pointing to people who break the rules? I mean, if I say that I just had a giveaway where I blacklisted dozens of users who never created a single giveaway & never wrote a single comment (the infamous "Level 0 Double Bagel") & won double-digit number of game... that's not considered calling out, right?

If you make a list where you will write everyone you found who fits those criteria and you'll public it - it will be calling out.
Only thing that is not considered calling out is when you create a thread and then people see you didn't activate some games - I don't think I ever seen person punished for calling out "what about that GAME you won and not have in your library".

Seen it happen few times already, even from high level users. So, no idea what's the official policy, but it feels like "if OP done something wrong, you can throw rotten eggs and tomatoes, since they draw a spotlight on themselves on their own".

Calling out exists under two forms:
1 leave a comment on a giveaway claiming that said giveaway is fake and shouldn't be entered.
2 create a thread to accuse a user of something. (scam, fake giveaway, etc.)
How to avoid it:
1 if you have evidence, contact support about it, nothing else.
2 do not write the user's name or give a link to the user's profile. Basically, just complain without ever saying who did it.

3 - Wait at least several months as your report site in a queue untouched. It may also do this indefinitely, And even if it does get addressed, it will probably be much too late to matter anymore and/or amount to little more than a slap on the wrist.

manual report using the "other" option. i did a few this way. the last time i did it ronix complained i should use the user report feature, but the other mods didnt seem to mind, or just thanked me for the report, so i think its ok. the Other option goes to the normal mods and the user report goes to higher up people.

How about people who call people out on calling other people out on something else?

Since we're in the subject of calling out, isn't announcing when you blacklist someone a kind of calling out? I mean, isn't it enough to just blacklist someone silently? I think that, in a way, this creates unnecessary 'blacklist drama' and poisons the community.
