But there is also DLSS 2.0 by now. https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/P9a26/this-tool-lets-you-easily-upgrade-a-games-dlss-version

Now clue of what or what would be better.

When i said DLSS i meant DLSS latest ver
DLSS is better but it has to be added to the game individually and same was for FSR
but Lossless Scaling upgraded their software/tool allowing everyone to use FSR on all games
It is not possible to make tool for DLSS because it isn't open source

https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/P9a26/this-tool-lets-you-easily-upgrade-a-games-dlss-version
also this is just a way to upgrade DLSS in games that alrdy support it
games devs don't upgrade DLSS in games frequently and people made this tool after Nvidia made DLSS public to benefit from new vers of DLSS (2.2.16 rn ,it improved image quality and fps)

DLSS requires higher end cards. The top 3 of the most popular cards on Steam don't even have DLSS support. I think it'll probably be very useful for the cards pre-Q3 2018. So at least 85% of Steam's userbase can't use DLSS sadly.

So I'd say it's less of a "but" and more of an "and" in this situation. Man I wish I could use DLSS :(

Ye i know ,but if it isnt open source it is going to be kinda worthless unless it works on all gpus and manage to beat DLSS which i doubt going to happen ,yes i saw the demo it look good but demos cant be trusted tbh

Fsr is terrible. Waiting for Intel's super sampling and Ue5's Tsr.

they still going to improve it surely
I know it isnt that good but lossless scaling is 1$ when it is on sale
we still dont know much about intel super sampling nor Ue5's Tsr
If XeSS and Ue5's Tsr going to be open source and able to support all games like FSR and gave better quality i dont see a reason to not use it instead when someone deciedes to make a tool for it

In my pov i still think that it can help a lot of people and 1$ isnt much for the performance it can give to old gpus making more games playable on them
i dont need DLSS nor FSR to play games my gpu can run almost all AAA games on max settings ,but im still going to buy it when it goes on sale

Personally, I find all this technology so exciting. Especially AMD and Intel's alternatives, since Nvidia's DLSS isn't so broadly available to developers and requires recent graphic cards to work.

Ye this is the best part about FSR even if the quality is lower than DLSS but i still have high hope FSR will improve
we will see when XeSS comes out

Lossless Scaling on Steam is useless, since the developer is unable to make it work with G-sync or Freesync. No one in their right mind would sacrifice this and go back to screen tearing just to get the program to work.

I dont use G-sync nor Freesync
It adds input lag i would rather have screen tearing than input lag and also screen tearing is less noticeable on higher frame rater
I would take screen tearing than input lag always
input lag messes with my brain i cant handle it at all

WRONG! G-sync/Freesync compactible monitor with proper graphic card has no input lag, the opposite. Frames being completly smooth between 45-165 FPS make the experience better. It is all about the monitor you have. You can find more about it around the web.

Actually ,you could be right
Most people say that you have to set it 3frames under my monitor refresh rate , to stop the input lag
Ill see

I'm glad you created this thread. I'm not really informed about such things. Is there any other software I should have installed besides the ones games already require?

No ,you can watch tutorial on the internet if you want to know how to use it in case you are wondering
And if you think the program image quality is bad you can always refund it
you wont lose anything by trying it out

DLSS is one of the things I deactivate in any game from the get-go. Makes everything look like sh*t. Also, having a decent GPU solves the issue anyways.

same , it is made for people who doesnt have decent gpu ;) thats the point of it
I think the best use of DLSS is to upscale from 1440p to 4k or 4k to 8k if you are one of these games im not ,cant afford 4k 144hz lmao too expensive

Never had an issue with it until Cyberpunk 2077 arrived, tho.
I think I'm simply not too good with all those settings.
But yeah, had to deactivate it for that game to make it not look like sh*t.
