Is it worth to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Yes.
No.

Is it really that bad if you waste 2h watching a movie?

The list of things you can do in 2 hours is staggering and nigh infinite, regardless of your circumstances.
A fair number are far more productive uses of your time than sitting through a bit of entertainment you don't care for.

Then again, this thread is rather meaningless in what it's asking, given that the film is notably popular overall and noone can assess subjective worth for the OP, so individual opinions from strangers isn't of any effect to the whole.

A better question would have been "What parts of Star WarS: Force Awakens did you like / not care for?", which would have allowed the OP to better assess if the film suits their tastes.

...And a crapload of spoilers.

Eh, only if people misunderstand the question.
Whiiich they're likely to do, so fair point.

I meant, ex "Oh, hey, the orchestrals were great, and the acting was solid, but the plot (which seemed rather thin to begin with) was too fast-paced for me, feeling more like a Clone Saga film- or even a Michael Bay film- than a classic Star Wars film" [Disclaimer: Pure example, haven't watched the film.]

"Worth watching" or "do you like" is completely useless to receive feedback on. :P

Excellent example :) The plot is somewhat thin and fast-paced. But the ending orchestra is great.

Kinda the impression I got from others. Still apparently quite a bit of a callback on the style of the originals, so generally people seem to like it more than the second trilogy.

My friends recommend it, at the least, so it's gotta be at least somewhat good...?
No Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull at the very least :P

If you are a fan of Star War, then there's no reason not to recommend it. But if you want something like a masterpiece, then Episode VII won't satisfy you :P

 That sounds like basically every "big name franchise" movie ever :P

Well, not like I'd watch a blockbuster film expecting to get anything jaw-dropping, but they're usually good for a bit of stylish, casual action-heavy fun.

Well, I'm not the one needing encouragement to watch it, anyway- my friends already convinced me I need to :'P

I've watched movies with an even bigger duration. Still, if a movie is absolute crap, then you're going to cry if you lost 2-3 hours of your life watching this crap. :P

Watch it for nostalghia sake. It's fun. I just wish they had better ideas storywise. Too much of a copy of the old films, in terms of scenario unfortunately. Let's hope they fix that on the next ones at least.

They gave the people what the people wanted: more of the same.
Can't blame them after the crap that constituted the prequel trilogy

I haven't watched it yet, waiting for BluRay. But I'd definitely watch since I liked the old movies.

I voted no to balance the force.

It's not bad nor good.
I don't want to watch it again tbh, but I don't regret that 2 hours

Did you like the first 3 movies? It's more of the same. Depending on who you ask, it's either a bit better of a bit behind Return of the Jedi.

I quite liked it. It's not a movie that will change my view on how movies should be made, but I thought it was a good one. Did it have flaws? Yes, sure, it was not a perfect movie, but it was still the second best movie I watched last year (out of only a handful).

I liked it, maybe it was not awesome, but definitely nice.
