I wondered for a second if they had finally resolved the IP rights in order to digitally release the game. But that seems less likely than Half Life 3.

As far as I remember, Contract J.A.C.K. wasn't particularly good. My personal favourite game of this series is, without a doubt, NOLF2.

Yeah, Contract JACK for the most part has only the nostalgic factor going for it. I agree, they definitely outdid themselves with NOLF2. Unfortunately, some of the left open plot threads will most likely never be concluded though, which is why I would prefer an official remaster - would open up the doors for a potential third entry in the series, hope dies last ;>...

Yes, it's a real shame that official remasters seems so unlikely because of those preposterous legal problems. NOLF was one hell of enjoyable game series.
