I think formally the feast day of St. Nicholas is in 6th December, but in the past in some countries they considered the day to end with the sunset, so the evening of 5th December was already considered to be 6th December. Same with Christmas which are somewhere celebrated on the evening of 24th December (which was traditionally considered to already be 25th of December).

In Hungary it's kinda weird. 24th is Christmas Eve, but not part of the actual Christmas Holiday, so it's not a day off (though things usually keep open only until mid-day.). Generally 24th is gifting within close family, 25th is proper Christmas, 26th is the day when visitations usually happen with different (parts of) families :)

Knecht Ruprecht is German. And we established that date some years ago for all people with mentionable blacklists. The original creator of this event usually wanted his contributors to have no blacklists, so we made this special day an exception. And it fits, as Knecht Ruprecht is the one punishing the kids.

Ah thanks for the explanation, guess I never noticed that before, that indeed makes sense now, was really wondering why that date got extra attention! I did see 'Knecht Ruprecht - For people with large blacklists' but didn't realize that's what it meant, silly me!

Door 11 would I take (if I may). Stupid questions: How long does giveaway need to last? I assume 1 day (so the whole 11th in my case)? And I just have to send you the link (through Steam?) and you will do the rest (except sending the key/game to the winner, that's my work I think ;p)?

This thread is for people that would like to contribute to the calendar this year. If a door is taken, you can ask whomever has the door to share, join in on either door 6 (Knecht Ruprecht) / door 24, or help by contributing secret giveaways.
Each day corresponds to that door.
Your GA can be lvl 0 or lvl 1. If you want to give away more games in one door, other GAs can also be higher level.
You can add Puzzles, hidden GAs and stuff behind your first GA.
You need to send me your GA 3 days before your door will open.
You can gift anything you want, but the games should be "high quality". After all it's Christmas time!
This contains unbundled as well as bundled games. Games don't have to be AAA but please don't choose games that were given away a lot. Maybe a Game you finished this year or a game where you know people would be happy to win (and play!) it. :)
I'll be adding the participants on Steam and inviting them to a group with more info on the event.
