Such are the whims of many SG users. Luckily there's plenty of people that dont look to increase their blacklist and limit their giveaways to level 5+. So we thankfully still get lots of excellent giveaways, puzzles and community events to be a part of.

Well I'm guessing one of the reasons someone might blacklist you in particular is because of the very sparse giveaways you've made in the over ten years you've been here. Which is ok because not everyone can afford games or has a budget set aside for gaming. However your steam library would suggest otherwise.
But I'm not judging (much) and I'm not blacklisting you either because I'm not in a blacklisting mood but I just wanted to point out that it's not all random or arbitrary like you might suggest.

I agree. Frequenting SteamGifts, i mostly feel greatful for all the kindness shown to me and the community at large, and excited to see new games i've never run across.
A bit depressing to get added to dozens of people's blacklists, but it's my own fault for not doing enough giveaways myself. Business is picking up for me, so here's hoping my finances will give me some breathing room soon...

Got 3 new blacklists a week ago just because the same reason (DIG leftover, i want to empty my DIG balance). It is disheartening but well nothing you could do about it and best just move on.

Oh lol, I too got rid of my DIG balance recently. It's sad how bad this site has turned, and I was scared I would let my balance go to waste if I didn't log in for over 6 months, due to their insane policy to delete "inactive" accounts.

Looking at your gifting history you didn't do giveaways for garbage extremely cheap games exclusively you gave away some nice games too. Some members are overly critical if they blacklist you for this reason. However for your main gripe there's no remedy your blacklist count will likely grow eventually and the best advice is to not look at it if you're sensible to this graph.

It's faster to blacklist than it is to hide every trash giveaway, I've done it before. However, I stopped doing that because it doesn't prevent other people from giving those same games away, and most people aren't ONLY giving away trash games. Don't worry too much about blacklists. You may not be able to enter their giveaways but they also can't enter yours.

I don't think they worry exactly. I think they feel bad for people "hating" them for giving away something (big or small)

Technically speaking, there is a way to properly get rid of your blacklists... along with everything else associated with your account
After one year, you'll be able register again and restart from a clean slate.
Or you could just not care about them at all, you're not losing much anyway, as your blacklisters are likely to be either low level users who rarely do giveaways (if any), or high level ones who mainly give in small groups and/or whitelists.

To be honest it is a bit suprising for me that, so many, people care so much for the BL. Special when they have only a handfull there.
You as OP wrote you had 30.
Look at my stats. Alone my last Cakeday Thread (and GAs) brought me 14 new BL. The last year community train 40+ and so on.
Take a look in the screenshot to see the final number (10 days ago).
My WL is much higher and the most blacklisters never do a GA -so they do me a favor to kick themself from my GAs^^-.
For me is only interesting for what i get blacklisted because, of course, none do all perfect and can improve with feedback to a situation that could be handled better.
But in the most cases there are bullshit reasons that can't be changed or that i don't want to change because I am I.
Reasons like "your english isn't perfect and i understand the worst possible meaning", "You have a opinion that is different as mine", "you are german", "you say and act against cheaters", "you recommend to use sgtools and to set a min. level in public GAs", "you do NSFW GAs", "you said a lot of the GAs on sg are for trash games, so i block you from mine -that aren't-".
I don't understand a lot of such reasons and logical acting is missing in many cases, from my point of view, but in the end people are free to blacklist each user for whatever reason they want and maybe they get happy from it. I dont have a bad mood because of it or think more about it as the curiousity part.

Yes, the autojoiners, multiaccounters, cheaters, win resellers and other "bad boys" really don't like to be hunted :-D
And a bunch of the sg users are very sensitive. I always question myself how they survive, this way, in the reallife.
On the other side there are very nice, friendly, positive people here and a big part of them are responsible for my 630 WL :o)

My BL counter don't go down. Only up.
When i post a "i advice to use sgtools to check the winners and maybe think about a level restriction for public GAs" message i earn in the average 1 BL for each message (in nearly no case from the gifter).
Only 25 autojoiners got perma suspended in the last weeks, that isn't much.
200 Autojoiner Tickets are still untouched from the mods.... -_- ... and only a few would be perma suspended because for the most it is the first suspension because of it.
That they need to give them 2 chances is not helping in getting them booted.

It's not the amount or anything really, it's just not nice to give things away, or just do nothing yet still get randomly blacklisted without word or reason, if they out right came and said why then fair enough but the way this is is just disappointing to me really, weather it's one blacklist or a hundred, it's just not pleasant to wake up and see.

If you find someone that blacklisted you and question for the why, then 90% don't answer. Maybe because they have fear for bad reactions or don't want to discuss the matter.
With hiding the BL stats you are, for sure, more relaxed and can be yourself.
I have a thick enough skin to be it without the hiding and because i am a stats nerd, which means i make tests and observe when exactly my stats raise and how much. I have joy like a young boy from it :D

I have 33 BLs and don't lose any sleep over it because I know most of them are for petty, illogical reasons or from users who rarely make GAs that I would want to join. Only once was I bothered/curious enough to ask someone why they had me blacklisted. It turned out to be for a valid reason, but not a practical one because by their standards they would've had to BL 30-50% of the users on SG.
If you want to get rid of your cheap DIG trash without incurring too many BLs, trying raising the GA level a little bit so fewer eyeballs see them and get annoyed by them or maybe find a group that'll accept them and share there.

I care because it's just undeeded negativity for no reason.. Like, I wake up, do my stuff get on here to read through some forums and check my stats or whatnot, send out any giveaways I made and then see that there's a new blacklist.. It's just disappointing is all.

You're not a disappointment. The reality of things is that not everybody is going to like you, no matter how hard you try. I can tell you that from experience. I've never tried to upset people, but hey... not everybody likes when people are positive, kind or understanding, or when you give away random games they are not interested about. They assume that you'll be giving them frequently, which isn't always the case.
As long as you get more whitelists than blacklists on this website and in life you'll know that you're doing something right for a change.
Remember to be happy that not everyone is going to like you because that is proof that you are living true to yourself.

Just remember that people use blacklists here for maaaaaaaaaaany different reasons. Like others said, it can be from "I don't want to see X thing" and they also replied to their own comment was not logical (as you can't hide the game), to pretty much ANYTHING.. Eeeven a missclick xD
But also think and of the people that actually WANT what you are giving away (why they do doesn't even matter but nothing is "useless"). Look at your entries number (obviously the faster a ga ends the less entries it's gonna get, but you get the idea :P )

Only way to not have BLs is to never make GAs or never write in the forums. Unless you make a lot of AAA GAs... thought there will be someone who dislike you're "better off" and BL you because of it.
Chance is you would not even be able to enter their GAs, as they only do private or group. BL is not a matter of how much users or community likes you, just some arbitrary click someone can use.

I know it's a bit silly, but it's genuinely kinda disheartening to see people blacklisting me randomly, or because I'm giving away the spare keys from dig that may not be up to some people's standards..
If I can't get rid of them, is it instead possible for me to just hide that part from my statistic graph so I can't see all the blacklisters?
I don't mind that I cant enter their giveaways.. I just don't want to see the list of people blacklisting me grow more and more..
