Hii I'm looking for a good RPG game that set in the current modern world ie, from 1900-2016 present.(RPG with no magic). Don't recommend fallout, shadowrun or wasteland 2.

It's more like a spy RPG. You have some options to change your male character, but mostly superficial (clothing). Otherwise I believe you can choose a specialization. It's a good game, though. Even if it's not what you're looking for now, give it a shot sometime.

After I played that game, read the bad reviews, I learned that video game critics sucked and it was better to rely on small-time critics and other players (as well as gameplay footage) to decide what to play.

And for that, I am eternally grateful, Alpha Protocol.

The game is well known for how well it handles choices, and the long term impact they have. More so than The Witcher 3.

It's not really a RPG but has some little RPG elements so I can recommend Sleeping Dogs.

Edit: Opps looks like you played it.

Yes I played that game feels like GTA

GTA feels like more of a shooter game for me. But you can't even carry a melee weapon for long time in Sleeping dogs. :D So It's more fightning focused and you can upgrade your style. That's little bit RPG. :P

I didn't call it RPG. It's literally my first sentence it's not an RPG. :( But It's hard to find an RPG takes place between that time so i want to share a game might interest OP.

Btw I just released I keep writing a RPG. :(

Has magic, isn't modern, and is based on video game evolution, but from what I played (up until it became a bland final fantasy clone and nothing more), it was fairly fun.

Probably Deus Ex series if you're looking for modern world set, not really sure about the RPG element though

Have you played the Yakuza seried?

I suggest playing them in order to get the whole story, and it will be hard to go back to the old ones if you start with the new ones.

I can't say it's a bad series but... there is too much Japan in it. That's why this is not for everyone.

The Secret World would be my obvious answer but then I realized I don't really know anything about it other than that it looks modern and I've been interested in giving it a try myself. Pretty sure there are some magic, or magic like aspects to it though...

The Earthbound / Mother series for Nintendo consoles fits your bill. There are psychic powers instead of magic, but the world is more like our own than in most RPGs.

+1, that setting is so common for a TV cartoon, but really unique for an RPG

The Jagged Alliance series would fit your description. 2 has the option to have some non-realistic elements (you get to pick that at the start of the game). They are TRPGs, and Jagged Alliance 2 is a darn fine game (it's the best TRPG that I've ever played).
Other than that, Alpha Protocol would also fit your requirements.
