Can someone reply and let me know why it's common practice to reserve the first comment?

For giveaway events specifically it allows everyone to list all their replies with giveaway links under one comment. It being at the top of page one also allows 3 very one else to easily check for new additions

I think it's all about insecurity. You've got something to say, choose your words right, but what if NO ONE leaves a comment? The 0 behind your thread in the discussion section would shame you for life. That's why people 'reserve' first post. To get a nice 1.

OK, as you probably guessed I made the dishonorable stowaway GA public by mistake - duh, But it actually worked out pretty well anyway and made me think I might do my next train unannounced from a public GA. But anyway I digress ..
The rather obvious stowaway has been apprehended and removed from the train but I understand that there is another stowaway, hopefully a little better hidden, who can now be found on the train. Good luck in finding him.

OK, only a couple of hours left and only 5 people have found the stowaway GA that 3000+ people have signed up for as a public GA. Look harder - it's just a hidden link you need to click :)

I gather it is traditional to celebrate going up a level so to honor that tradition I have created a small train based on the Indie Gala Get Over It Bundle to celebrate me getting to level 2. Yes, I know I'm already level 3 but I was a bit slow getting this GA together so will sort out another one for level 3 in due course .. :)
I have also included a small puzzle to claim the following games, which have been given away free before and so can't be gifted on Steam Gifts. They were all also part of the Get Over It bundle.

C) Dino D-Day

This is the first train/puzzle I have created so it may be a bit hit and miss but hopefully I've done it so it works .. Only bundled games for this train I'm afraid.
Please note that I've created this discussion early so the train will be available for boarding on Fri 30th Oct @ 17:00 - that's when the GAs activate. I put them on a future activation in case I cocked things up when I created the train so I had time to sort it out ;)
