How are you celebrating?
Yes, it was fun playing it again more than 20 years later.
I remembered it was hard but man, it's real hard.
I tried the CD-ROM version, graphics are very outdated.
Then I changed to Classic version, required joystick. Ok, I tried playing with joystick and ended the first mission.... but the game crashed.
I went back to CD-Rom version and still progressing the campaign.
Later yesterday I said, why not playing the newest SW Squadrons on Epic (with EA launcher)?
So I spent 3 hours to install and trying to fix the crashes. I wasn't even able to play the prologue mission.
Every time I tried it, it crashed when it was about to start. And it takes ages to load!
So next year I'll try Republic Commando, as it was suggested here.

I'm torn about this. I wanted to commit to a long Star Wars game but I'm burned out after playing The Witcher for 60+ hours.
I watched the original trilogy and the three prequels recently as well.
So I'll be waiting for a good suggestion for a short SW game. 10-15 hours.
May the 4th be with you!

Maybe Republic Commando (https://store.steampowered.com/app/6000/STAR_WARS_Republic_Commando/)?

It's funny, the actor (David Prowse) who played Darth Vader in the original three parts (episode 4, 5, 6) was called Darth Farmer by the film crew.

I did sometimes have movie-watching marathons (from 3 to 6 of the movies) in earlier years. But for today, my plan is modest (though not less fun): Every Star Wars Movie + Show Pitch Meeting In Chronological Order

I choose the hidden "I don't particularly care about Star Wars." option... ^_^'
I do recall there was a really neat cartoon I watched on TV when I was a kid. The one made by the guy who made Samurai Jack. I guess that was pretty good and would recommend checking it out. (I mean, it was basically "Samurai Jack but with laser swords"- of course it was good. XD )
(I also vaguely recall watching the original trilogy on TV at some point maybe... yeah, whatever.)

Using "this is the way" in casual conversation as often as possible
Hm... May the 4th be with you. "This is the way" is just not Star Wars to me
I was actually thinking of playing the Lego The Force Awakens even though I was bored to sleep by the movie.
Other than that, does hanging out with a particularly hairy friend count as Star Wars Day celebrating?

That's a fair question. Unfortunately, one cannot edit a survey after it's launched. I imagine there are comics to consider, too, not to mention reading or writing fanfic.
What I noticed that I'd overlooked is playing a tabletop Star Wars RPG, even though I did that myself just a few weeks ago.

Also fair!
You reminded me of a Fark.com thread that I haven't thought about in a long time.
Summarize your sex life with a Star Wars quote

This thread is for fans, discussing the day we celebrate the franchise. You don't have to celebrate it, enjoy it, or even comment, at all. Do you go to birthday parties and ask what all the fuss is about?
I find it kind of ridiculous to be a gamer, to participate in a gamer community, and then to act condescending about what other people like.
Congratulations on not enjoying something, I guess.

release order, and just rn I've finished Return of the Jedi . ig tomorrow is The Phantom Menace; altho I've heard that the trilogy is by far the best and after them, the following installments weren't as good, I just hope they are still bearable till I get to the newer works in the Star Wars universe (Andor, The Mandalorian,..,) =P

Between the movies, the live-action series, the cartoon series, and the dozens of video games, we have lots of options for celebrating the Star Wars universe. What's your plan today, if any?
Have you seen any "I know that game and that's a great price for it" deals?
More importantly, can anyone recommend a game that's fun to jump into just for a day? Let's make a list, and I'll start it off with my recommendations.
Games fun for jumping into:
Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy 2003 :: in multiplayer mode, you can match up against a buddy and have fun killing each other
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast 2002 :: just like Jedi Academy from a multiplayer perspective
Republic Commando 2005 :: 10-15 hours
Star Wars Episode I: Racer 1999 :: also released on the Switch in 2020, a classic that's also current!
Rogue Squadron 3D 1998 :: "Yes, YES, have I mentioned 'YES'?"
X-Wing 1994 :: If it doesn't crash, if you have a joystick...
