I've been using Steamgifts for less than a week and i'm enjoying it, hope my account being less than a week old doesnt effect my chance of joining the group :p, but i didnt see any rules about that matter, anyways hope i get accepted into the group :p

It does help a bit to get to know the general rules about the site. Like that re-gifting is not allowed, that re-rolls can be made if the winner already owns the game and so on. You'd be amazed at how many people don't read it and end up getting suspended or banned.
Once you know the basics the community is more than happy to jump in and explain whatever else might interest you :)

it sounds pretty straightforward to participate. i have interacted with a number of people in the group and think well of them.
i enjoy making giveaways. i know a lot of it isnt that great of stuff, but i give away what i can. :)

This sounds like a fun concept so I'd like to be considered for membership
I aim to keep at least a 2:1 giving to receiving ratio using SGTools.Info. I mainly give away bundled games (I try and make use of offers like the IndieGala happy hour) but have also included a few non-bundled games but usually when they are on offer as I do have a fairly tight budget. I've run a couple of trains ShandyAndy's Level 2 Celebratory Train & ShandyAndy's Level 3 Celebratory Train and will hopefully run another one this weekend to celebrate getting to level 4.
I've been fairly active in the Positive Thoughts group since it was launched (although now I come to think of it I've been a bit lax on the rainbow dancing side of things) both posting GAs and in forum posts, although I'm not a prolific chat poster. I like the concept that you are fine with GAs being shared by groups.
The La Cirno de Mayo event looked like it was fun (although possibly run before I made level 1 or had sussed this site out as I don't remember it) and I'd be interesting in helping out with another such event. BTW, the web site looks excellent.
My profile is public so you can get more info about me from there. Our family make full use of the family sharing option so some games I have in my library have been played by my wife (who likes point and click games) or eldest son (who likes platform games) but won't show up as played. And yes I have a huge backlog and very rarely finish games.

Ah ok, most of the time I access via a tablet as I have a young family and we sit in the living room chatting/playing games. My PC is upstairs in my gaming room/office that I only go to when working or after kids have gone to bed/are out

I'm interested in joining. Why should you pick me? I'm new in this kind of stuff. Like you can see, I joined to SG 5 months ago and I'm trying to do my best. So far, I discovered that SG is a good place to share, not only games, time and friendship too. I like the concept of SG (few months ago i didn't know nothing about it), but I found something that I don't like particularly, I want to share with real people, not bots and I want to make friends too, not only giveaway games, mark as received and nothing more.
I participated in "La Cirno de Mayo" and I have to say that was great. By then I was level 1 and I enjoyed the opportunity and the decision between the giveaways and the box, I played safe by the way.
I think that your group is fantastic, because it offers the opportunity of share, giveaways, time and friendship, with people that are really interested in this matters. Last time that you recruited, I was very interested but I didn't apply because I didn't fill all the requirements, now the story is different.
I'm working in my ratio of giveaway won/created and right now is in a very good shape.
My favourites kind of games are the RPG and the coop-games, if there are zombies so much better. I'm looking for some really nice persons to play with and I think that this is a great opportunity.

I would love to apply, but I know I will likely not make it. The main reason was discussed in this thread: namely the fact that I have an unclean record from more than a year ago that is easily found on SGTools. Since being banned, I came back and have brought my CV almost to level 5, and have done a few hidden trains throughout threads, but I am not sure if my ratio is currently good enough to get me in.

Cleaning your record is not that hard... Just buy and activate the games that you didn't activate and talk to the mods about rerolling the multiple-activated games providing you new fresh keys for the occasion.
If you do that you can archive a clean status on my tools.

Only creator of the giveawawy can reroll (you just post on ga page that you agree/ask for reroll so that support has clear situation), and for that he would need new key/gift.
When it has happend long time ago, usually better option is to delete said GA (again, it's creators prerogative). One way or another you should first talk to GA creator.

Lately Wany killed us with those Fallout 4 giveaways so I decided to search for new 2hus.
Also we're approaching a magic limit of 100 members, so it might be the very last recruitment thread for now.
The Touhou Giveaways group was founded by Archi on February 18th 2015. We're a small, ratio-based group, sharing the spirit of giving away and winning games on SteamGifts. You might already recognize us from awesome events that we organize from time to time.
We have implemented many unique features into the simple concept of a private giveaway group, and today we are one of the most "technologically advanced" group that exists on SG. The objective is simple: the group should be a nice addition to the SteamGifts community and should require no extra effort from the member.
All group giveaways are tracked by our bot, which automatically adds new giveaways to the database, track winners, calculate points and ratio, detect current/finished giveaways, calculate statistics, and even reward members with our very own touhou achievements! Our group is fully automated, and thanks to that, our members can focus on creating and winning giveaways, instead of being forced to manually add them through the website or post links in a group thread. Our members are happy to make giveaways the same way they would do public or private giveaways, and ArchiBoT does everything else.
To make the precious data gathered by the bot available for the members, we also coded our very own Touhou Giveaways website, which acts as a "frontend" to the data gathered by the bot. Members can check their stats, ongoing giveaways, giveaways won and many other useful information we provide in a nice, fancy and modern way.
