Continuing on my quest to give away some unbundled games, here's number 2. I went for one that didn't have such a big discount, so hopefully less likely to get added to the bundled list :-)

Bad news, comrade: since it is on a 85% discount now on Steam, this bumps its price down to 13 ruble for all Soviet Russian people. Meaning it is below 5% of the original price, so the capitalists will add it retroactively to the bundle list (obviously in order to spread false propaganda), dropping this giveaway to bundled game status as well.

oh dear, I'm not doing very well with this unbundled malarkey! Will have to try harder!

If it hit 84%+ discount on Steam, it will be added to the list. At any other store outside Steam, a game can be considered safe up to 90% discount, if the game was not bundled before. The reason being only Steam carrying this extreme regional prices, where the Russian base price is 40-60% of the US one.
(Although if they elect Trump and that crashes the value of USD, games should be safe until 75% again. =D)

Alright that's good to know thanks! I supposed the easiest thing is just to stick with the 80% discounted games at the moment. I'm just buying from Steam right now as I have a fair bit in my wallet from trading cards that I sold.

Talgaby, I'm living in Belgium, so how safe are 75% Steam discounted games there from Russian pricing? Do any 75% discounted games make it to the bundled list globally?

Discount percentage is universal across regions, so you can calculate with the ~84% no matter where you live in terms of being candidate for the bundle list or not.

During every sale, my friend Yoshi usually lets me know which games are good choices to make giveaways for (I like to give unbundled games when possible). I can always pass those gems on to you if you wish. If that sounds like a plan, you can add me on Steam if you want.:)

Good luck with your quest for the Holy Handgrenade of Unbundled Joy!;)

I thought that games with an 85% or less discount were generally safe from the butcher's (bundler's) axe, with games having a 90% discount having a huge chance of being bundled?

That was the case long ago, before the oil prices nearly halved the value of the Russian currency. Its freefall now more or less stopped, plus the USD and EUR aren't too strong, but right now ~84% is where the Russian regional price's value hits 5% of the price in the US store.

Well that really sucks. I only get games from Steam for my giveaways, and I can't afford too many if I have to get them with lower discounts. Oh well, I guess I'll have to live with giving some more games that will end up being bundled. :(

Thanks for the information, talgaby.

I should have been more careful with this one though. I didn't check the bundled games list - I only looked at the deals list on SG Tools. It is already on the SG bundle games list when I bought it, doh! Well lessons learned, at least they are just cheap ones I have chosen so far :-)
