we play on steam diablo 3 and a bunch of other free to plays and battlefield and so on

Yeah, it's the internet, not a text message where you have a character limit. Your intentions don't change the fact that a lot of people could well pass it up just because your post uses "are" instead of "our" and your group description talks about "multiply games". Maybe not you, but certainly other people regard a properly typed post and group description as rather important. The few seconds it would take to hit the shift key and type "people" out in full could well net you a few other members to the group, instead of passing the idea off as absurd. If your intention is just to have a thriving community and for people to have fun, then I see little reason to have the attitude of "spelling doesn't mater, it's the internet". To a lot of people, it does matter, and if turns even a few people away, then it's a counter-productive attitude.

Yes, because surely having some TF2 idling accounts invalidates everything I have to say. And saying that scumming around idle serves sending unsolicited group invites to people is something that's sort of crappy to do is me on my high horse.

I bought all of my accounts before it went free. I'm not using them to grief or hack, or bouncing from one account to the next when I get VAC banned. I just get drops, use them to buy hats I like. I fail to see how this is some morally reprehensible act.

No, I am saying that if he lives in the United States, a country with one official language, it is not an unreasonable assumption that he would be a ntive English speaker. Statistically, it has some pretty good odds.
I didn't question your comprehension of the language, so I don't know why you're telling me about your grades, and I am not trolling anybody. Read the post I made above in response to his response to me, where I explain why there's some reasoning behind him typing out his promotional post properly. When you're advertising something, typing it properly is an asset. I wouldn't hound him for doing it in a chat room, and only corrected your post for the sake of being snarky.

At a federal level, no. But it is the official language of a majority of states, and the language used in federal government. Which makes it the de facto national language. Also that wasn't a sarcastic remark at all.

You just don't get it do you? Its not official, where I am from, many people can't speak it well or write well, many peoples first language is Spanish(36+ Million actually in America) in this country. Other languages like Chinese/Russian/etc.. take a decent chunk.
