Day 8
Eighth lesson learnt: Friendship is about quality of time, not quantity
When I was at school, my friends were the ones I spent most of the time with. With time, you realise that the amount of time isn't the most important thing, but the intensity of this time. I have experienced this in a stronger way this last month. I have a friend who is studying now in another country. She went there in summer, and I came to visit her this november. We hadn't spent much time together since then, since we were in different countries. But since the very first moment that we spent together, I felt like if I had seen her the day before. This confidence and the amazing time we spent together there were proof that friendship isn't about the amount of time that you spend with the other, but about how you feel during that time. Of course, many friends are the ones we spend more time with, because once you have this feeling of joy, you want it for as much time as possible. But the fact that you share many hours of the day with a classmate or a work colleague doesn't mean that he/she has to be your best friend. Enjoy the time spent with friends! ^^

My mother has friends she has not spoken to in years and who would still move the world to help or support her. The same from her side. A friend I met only 8-9 years ago is now like a sister to me. Family is what we make of it. And family knows no boundaries or time. :)
