...I feel strange. Was that some spell? Am I cursed now?

We used to have a plant in front of our house.
One day, the leaves fell off, and it looked unhappy.
Every day, I walked past it, the branches were beginning to droop.
Then slowly, a giant leaf began to grow.
I call it the Jesus plant, because it died for our sins (of probably forgetting to water it).

Also, Boulangerie.
Now to find out what that means...
Ok Google, what is Boulangerie?

Edit: Oh, I should have known.
We have a La Boulengers around here.
