And as I said on your dev advice thread. I recommend you try GameMaker. The free version gives you everything you need. The pro edition just adds stuff like, ads, in-app purchases and mac/linux export.

I see it, right now is a close race between GameMAker and Unity, and both have great free versions. And of course enjoy the game!

I know this is pretty old, but my friend and I just released a game made with Game Maker. I know the graphics are bad, they were made with paint :)
