Right now I am not using Visual Studio, but it may create a "Visual Studio command prompt", which has the compilers in path :-) At least it created one in the past.
Of course having VS installed makes command line compilation a bit obsolete, just it is several hundreds of megabytes to download, while the .Net framework is already in place.
Ohh one more thing, you might want to change this:
c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\csc.exe
into this:
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\csc.exe
Yes, you are right, but I think it may look less scary / more familiar without the variable. Those who code, will find their csc.exe anywhere. Those who do not code, will likely have c:\Windows.
Yes, of course, everything is possible. Just here I wanted to provide what is absolutely necessary. That is why there is no error handling, and the well known binary-ASCII step is expected to happen elsewhere.

I can't tell you how excited I was to see a programming puzzle, especially when I saw the 7 private giveaways on your profile. After you provided very detailed instructions to help one get here, I thought the difficulty might then ramp up gradually. But it appears to increase significantly as I don't see any direction for reaching the other giveaways.
EDIT: That being said, I'll keep thinking about it. In the mean time, thanks for a great giveaway! This one is on my wishlist.
There is an entire week ahead, do not worry. 2 of the GA-s is not accessible yet, though the missing letter can be brute forced after all.
Tip: if you have the executable, perhaps run it with the images, imgur should allow getting the originals, but I will check it again tomorrow.

I tried Sleeping Dogs to see if it runs in my Pc and it does, not too smoothly but playable enough.
I like my usual command line places to reside under path :)

Guess my project for home was to make it write the results to a file cause i was to lazy to copy it from command line.
EDIT: just realised i could make it convert from binary to ascii straight on the command line instead.
