Description

Are any of you fluent in German by chance? I assumed Schein meant shine but according to Google Translate Schein means light, glimmer, glow, glint, or gleam. I was surprised to find it didn't list shine as a meaning since it's pronounced the same as the English word shine from my limited knowledge of German anyway and German & English seem to translate pretty directly.

Nรคchste!

since Shine is a noun in this context, it's the latter
if it was scheinen (verb) than it would mean shine

it could also be what the character is screaming to his torch... "Schein weiter, du...! Wo ist meine verdammte Taschenlampe?"

Well this is another thing then, because then it's the imperative form of scheinen, which then means "Shine!"
Completly translated: "Shine on, you...! Where is my fucking torch?"

or translated to American: "Keep shining, you...@#$@! Where is my damn flashlight?" :)

Schein can have several meanings! it can be a banknote, a glow, scheinen would be to shine, but also "zum Schein" means "in pretense" or "feigned", which possibly works in context of the game as well? (I haven't played it)

Adding "for" to "glow" makes it mean "feigned"? Languages do funky things sometimes.

That could work in the context of the game since things aren't as they initially seem.
