Bad Rats isn't even really a Steam Gifts thing, it started when people bought it as a prank gift during Steam sales for their friends because it was a dollar and terrible beyond belief. It sorta became the bad game to buy just by luck, and on a site about giving gifts, such as Steam Gifts, joke gifts are going to show up, and since Bad Rats is already sorta the "it" thing on Steam it ends up over here too.

I'm glad others understand the obsession with Bad Rats, because I sure as hell don't. Considering how terrible it looks, though, I'd say it's an amazing example of how broken Steam reviews are.

About Bad Rats, I have no idea. It looks silly, almost bad. But Physics based games are usually good, so I didn't get it... then watcher TotalBiscuit's video about Bad Rats and maaaan.... It feels and plays terrible. Personally I never-ever want that game, not even for free :\ It's an abomination.

Bad Rats is the antithesis of Skyrim in SG community, like a worst/best gift to giveaway.

I never quite understood the bad rats give away hate either

it's just a running joke, bad rats is a shitty game and we all get overexcited when it is given away, just for fun and as a joke, it's not like the game is any good :p

Before bad rats fortix was used for the joke, but fortix is actually a lovely game :D
Also "thanks for skyrim" has been used for the same thing :p

It's like a tradition to give away 1$ games. It used to be Fortix but then Fortix got bundled so it became Bad Rats. It's sad though because Fortix is actually a good game.
