How much do you take for painting like that? Right now I'm too poor anyway but in lets hope not so distant future maybe I would have a request for you.

Those dogs were actually pen drawings. I said I'd do them for £15. I sent out the original pen drawing on A4 and a high resolution file of the digitally coloured version that people could get printed or use for whatever else. They didn't take long to do but were quite effective.

That's interesting. So you sketch that on paper and add the color in Photoshop (or whatever software you are using)?

I'm happiest drawing with pens and inks - I skipped pencils as a child because of my love of comic books. When I was learning to use my graphics tablet and digital art software I found it a bit overwhelming so I got started by scanning pen drawings and digitally editing them. I'm trying to focus on other things now but a friend asked for a portrait of his dog in the style of the Noel Fielding / Vince Noir picture I did that was one of my early digital experiments and these are what that request led to.
