Been interested in this game for quite some time now. According to things I've read about it, it seems like its got a lot of depth, and who doesn't like such RPG's.

There are two V:TM games, not sure which I played back in the day either:)

There the third person / FPS Bloodlines (this) and the Vampire the Masquarade - Redemption

Very different vibe to the games. In a 'not better or worse, just entirely different' sense.
Though Redemption is clearly worse, because absolutely nothing is as good as VtMB. >:D

It's funny 'cause it's... TRUE!!!!! xD

It's almost depressing how true it is :X
That game is just mind-blowing. Imagine what Troika could have managed with the resources available these days, had Activision not sabotaged them into bankruptcy.
still, how many games still have modders working on them 12 years after the fact? :)
Of course, in fairness, I haven't gotten a copy of its highly-reviewed spiritual successor to play yet, but, y'know, it's a astoundingly hard bar to try and match up to. so, y'know: reserved anticipation :)

Oh hell yeah, the game was really awesome for that time. And, if you ask me, it's still astoundingly better than some of the modern ones. Yes, including the outdated graphics and all.
Oh wow I never even heard of this one. Another thing for my wishlist, like it wasn't long enough... xD

Was mostly unplayable on [then-modern] systems on its release due to extensive memory-mismanagement issues, which is perhaps one of the things that hurt it the most.
But yeah, I've played the game dozens of times- the only reason I don't still play it is because apparently there is a limit to how much you can enjoy repeating the same thing. :P
But story, atmosphere, characters, plot and plot twists, freedom of action, customization, different play perspectives.. everything was top notch. <3
And unlike something like Thief 3 which "was great for the time," but didn't age very well (imo), VtMB is still distinctly playable, even now.
I love that people are still able to enjoy the game for the first time, it's a cool thing-
Though I'd appreciate even more if we had more games up to that level of depth and richness :')

P.s.: Embrace the backlog. :'P

tries to emrace the backlog but ends up weeping

While I'm not entirely displeased that you seem to have confused me with your backlog [Yay, hugs!], your tears are making me rather damp. :X
But yeah, my backlog is only getting worse with my computer nearly dead as it is, and recent bills cut into my replacement-computer-fund, so that's delayed, now >_<
:sniffles over wanting to finish Life is strange and not being able to:

I played this years ago. Absolutely brilliant!

I've never played this one, but I've heard an immense amount of praise for it from fellow steamgifters. :)

The game is of such greatness that there are still community patches coming out as we speak.

I just love this game. One of my all time favs and you can see how awesome it is by taking into account all my other favs are adventure games and it's outside of my "comfort zone".
I already have it so I naturally won't be entering but I just had to thank you for sharing this gem with the community.
