I don't know if it's stood the test of time, but when I was younger I watched the original Tron and it made a huge impact on my visions of the future. Attributing my interest in low-level computers to it is probably completely false, but it did mirror what I was interested in.

Edit: of course I thought Tron Legacy was incredibly bad. I enjoyed the visuals, the music, and Olivia Wilde, but even with all of those I thought it was incredibly unambitious, plot and idea-wise, and not compelling in the slightest.

its a cold war comedy where an insane general who believes that the Soviets are poisoning his "precious bodily fluids" decides to launch an all out attack, that ends with the world being destroyed by the Dooms Day Devise
