Best breed of dog you've ever owned (or had the pleasure of living with)? I'll go first: Samoyed. Incredibly devoted, endlessly happy, extremely smart and independent but eager to please. Downside: endless hair and a very shrill bark. And PULLS every time you walked them.

I'm not a dog person in general and there were only two dogs in my life... But I will say: Mittelschnauzer. She was smart and fast learning (probably she could get a PHD degree if you will command her to do so), and loyal as hell.

Rottweiler x doberman. Stayed a big pup his whole life ♥ He was a humungous softie.. to every non male xD(His guard dog instincts kicked in around them - was not a fan) he was, as one may say, a good boy.

I never had own dog but thanks for advice. Personally I thought about random abandoned mix but when you have children it may be better to take certain breed dog.
